Maya offers to run the company at Rick's side when he hesitates in signing the contract that would make him CEO of Forrester Creations. Despite having mixed emotions about Ridge, Caroline is intent on getting her marriage back on track, and she exchanges threats with Maya. Rick is announced as CEO at an impromptu meeting, and he makes some drastic personnel changes, which puts Ridge and Caroline in their places. Later, Maya reminds Rick of Caroline's betrayal when she thinks he might be having second thoughts about leaving his marriage.
