Ridge feels immense guilt about what's gone on with Caroline, so he calls her to discuss their partnership, but while at Brooke's cabin, they end up engaging in a passionate designing session. Later, Ridge leaves out an important detail when he tells Katie of his session with Caroline and assures her that their relationship is completely secure. At the same time, Maya feeds Rick's insecurities in his marriage and tells him she will always be there for him. Knowing of Maya's manipulations, Carter tries to talk her out of going any further with her scheme. Rick and Caroline have a heart-to-heart talk about their marriage and the cause of recent tension between them. Eric struggles with a difficult decision as he must choose one of his sons over the other to take over as CEO of Forrester Creations. With his ability to draw back, Ridge is sure he'll be chosen, while Rick is certain that he will win the day with Caroline at his side. Emotions in the office are mixed when Eric finally announces and explains his decision.

Jennifer is stunned when she discovers Daniel in Kristen's hotel room. In the hopes of getting the dirt on Theresa, Kristen manipulates Eve and Anne. Kristen starts to make inroads with Brady, while Eve warns Theresa that Kristen is coming after her. Meanwhile, Kate and Lucas try to convince Sami of how serious her situation is, but help soon arrives from an unexpected source and Sami receives a life-changing visit. Paige is confused and dismayed by JJ's rejection. Eve's scheming against JJ comes back to bite her, while JJ plans on telling Paige the truth about his father. Later, JJ and Paige embark on a frantic search for Jill. After Will tells Chad his editor wants a new angle, he and Sonny get into a huge fight about the article that leaves Will feeling disrespected and unsupported. Longtime enemies Nicole and Sami share a moment over drinks, and Nicole dishes out some advice.

Nina bribes someone into carrying out her revenge. Later, she reveals Rosalie's dark secret and bonds with Franco over their respective actions. The mysterious unidentified patient has a fleeting memory of the accident that put him in the hospital. As Sonny and Shawn move forward with their sting, Sonny second guesses his strategy and is later met with a vision from his past. TJ and Jordan have a tense encounter, while Michael becomes aware of a shocking truth. Tracy pulls out all the stops to get Luke back. Julian's jealousy of Ned and Alexis festers. Dante urges Olivia to be straightforward with Ned.

Jack tries to kick Victor out of the Abbott mansion when he arrives to see Phyllis, but she asks him to stay and explain his role in her coming out of her coma. When Jack takes a call from Kelly, Victor demands that Phyllis tell him what she knows about Sharon's secret. Working closely together to help Dylan, Nikki and Paul share a bonding moment. Joe shows up at Avery and Michael's law office where he meets Dylan for the first time and the two have an awkward exchange. Nick assures Victoria that things will become clear once the baby is born when she confesses to her brother that she kissed Stitch. Michael and Lauren share a romantic date at the GCAC where they meet Madame Isadora, a psychic who startles Michael with her premonition. Ashley and Stitch work together on her new project for Jabot.
