Q: Has Christopher Walken ever been on Broadway?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Not only has film actor Christopher Walken appeared on Broadway, he actually appeared there first.

With his off-beat delivery and not-quite-leading-man looks, it seems like a cinch that film star Christopher Walken was not a Hollywood creation.

And indeed, prior to his first feature-film role (a tiny part in 1969's "Me and My Brother"), he had already made a name for himself in New York's legendary theater industry.

Crossbones, on NBC

In this rebroadcast, Oscar nominee John Malkovich stars as Edward Teach, a man who has supposedly been long dead -- a man also known as the infamous pirate Blackbeard. Richard Coyle and Tracy Ifeachor also star.

Q: What happened to my favorite show "Auction Hunters" with Allen and Ton? It's so much better than "Storage Wars."

Adam Thomlison / TV Media

"Auction Hunters," Spike's entry into the surprisingly rich buying-other-people's-stuff genre of reality TV, recently wrapped its fourth season, but will be back for a fifth.

Spike announced last month that the show, which follows metaphorical diamond-in-the-rough prospectors Allen Haff and Ton Jones as they travel the country bidding on the unseen contents of storage units, will return in the fall.

The Night Shift, on NBC

NBC presents the premiere episode of this all-new doctor drama. The night shift at San Antonio Memorial Hospital is comprised of returned army doctors who work hard and play hard. T.C. Callahan (Eoin Macken) and his experienced team risk everything to save lives.

Q: I saw in my local cable TV listing that "Spider-Man 2" is being shown this evening in my viewing area. So how can the new movie be named "Spider-Man 2?"

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

The "Spider-Man 2" movie that was released in theaters a few weeks ago was actually part of a so-called "reboot" of the web slinger's on-screen exploits.

The Spider-Man movies you saw listed on TV were released in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and starred Tobey Maguire as reluctant radioactive hero Peter Parker.

The "Spider-Man 2" movie that was released this year starred Andrew Garfield in the title role, in a sequel to the previous edition in 2012.
