Q: Gibbs and the "NCIS" team recently went to New Orleans on a case. Is there any chance a spinoff, "NCIS" in New Orleans, may be coming? I really liked that episode and think Scott Bakula and his team would be a great show.

It would seem that the executives at CBS agree with you. They liked the New Orleans episodes enough to order a full series of them, which was the plan all along.

The two-episode arc of "NCIS" which took place in New Orleans was, in fact, intended as a so-called "back-door pilot" for a full series. Back-door pilots are episodes of TV shows made specifically as launch pads for new shows, intended to give network execs a sense of what the new series would be like.
