Q: Did they ever show Charlie's face on the original "Charlie's Angels"?

Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Not once in the show's entire five-season run.

Even in the handful of episodes in which the character of Charlie Townsend appeared on screen, his face was somehow or other hidden, and each time it was a body double. John Forsythe, whose voice was -- during the show's run at least -- more famous than his face, never even came to the set.

Summer’s here, and with it comes a distinct dip in new prime-time programming. The pickings may be slim, but there are always a few solid series to cling to to keep you from drowning in a sea of reruns.

Wahlburgers, on A&E

Get caught up with this endearing reality series as A&E presents a mini morning marathon. Donnie Wahlberg and his brother Paul find a great second location for their restaurant near Fenway Park. Paul must convince brother, Mark, to agree to the new location.

Rookie Blue, on ABC

Lots of firsts are happening in this new episode as Oliver (Matt Gordon) is promoted to Acting Staff Sergeant. Meanwhile, Andy (Missy Peregrym) is assigned the task of training the Division's greenest rookie, Duncan Moore (Matthew Owen Murray).

Q: What can you tell me about the short-run TV reality show "Siberia?"

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

The better question would be what can I tell you that won't give too much away. Unfortunately, the answer to that is: not much. But the show's cat has been out of its bag for almost a year now, so here it is: It wasn't a reality show at all.

I'm comfortable telling you this because "Siberia's" own marketing material refers to it as a "mockumentary," so even if you were to seek it out on DVD or streaming video, you'd find out pretty quickly.

Big Brother, on CBS

A group of strangers come together in the Big Brother house to compete for cash in this season premiere. Julie Chen hosts this reality TV series that follows "houseguests" living in a specially designed house outfitted with cameras and microphones.

Tyrant, on FX

Q: What is Muse Watson doing right now? He did a good job on "NCIS," and I was sorry they killed him off.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Muse Watson, who came into acting relatively late and so has looked grizzled and tough for as long as we've known him, hasn't paused for a minute since leaving "NCIS." Just like he hadn't paused for one beforehand.

American Ninja Warrior, on NBC

Daring contestants compete to conquer one of the most challenging obstacle courses ever created in this two-hour edition. The athletes will have to muster all of their strength, grit and determination in their quest to win the $500,000 grand prize.

Laughs for the week June 22 - 28, 2014

The Late Show: David Letterman

I get a quarterly book that contains a summary of surveys. In the most recent survey, scientists and doctors agree that a human being cannot fake laughter, you are either laughing because it is funny, or not laughing because it is not funny.

If you have ever seen this program before, you are aware of the fact that you can't fake comedy.
