Q: Who plays Mrs. Pat on the Toyota commercials? I've searched everywhere and can't find the answer.

Alas, there's no single database or website devoted to tracking commercial actors (unlike the ones for film and Broadway actors), but in the absence of a formal system for giving credit, there's still good, old-fashioned gratitude.

For that reason, I'm able to tell you that Kristen O'Meara plays the wife on the series of commercials featuring Pat Finn as an overenthusiastic Toyota buyer/owner.

She doesn't get credit on any of the websites I could find, but she gets plenty of it in the social media posts of director Jordan Brady, who shot the spots; and O'Meara offered some gratitude right back on her own account (she favors Instagram, by the way).

"This little job that came into my life seven years ago has turned into one that holds a special place in my heart," O'Meara wrote. "Being invited back every year is a gift and has become like a family reunion. Thank you, Jordan Brady, Pat Finn and the whole LaneTerraLever [ad agency] family for embracing 'Mrs. Pat' all these years!"

Indeed, it's fun to poke around on these social accounts for a behind-the-scenes peek at a lesser-known field in the entertainment biz. For example, in another love-in post, Brady, O'Meara and Finn chat very casually in the comments about their experience shooting the spot with the car-shaped treehouse and share an extended lumber pun.

O'Meara's Instagram feed features photos of her on set before and after shooting the various roles she's done, and not just the ads.

She actually has a pretty long list of film and TV credits on her resume along with commercial work. All of her roles have been brief appearances, which means her feed has photos of her with a huge range of (mostly TV) stars, such as Jane Krakowski and RuPaul (on the set of "AJ and the Queen"), Peter Krause and Lauren Graham (on "Parenthood") and the great Mark Harmon (from the episode of "NCIS" she did in 2017).

Based on the photos, she's having fun in the biz. And based on the comments, she's pretty fun to work with. "Directing you is like bowling with those bumpers," Brady said in yet another thank-you post. "Ya know the ball is going to knock the pins down no matter what!"
