The Food Network has been pretty quiet about "Restaurant Stakeout" since its Season 4 finale in January, but prolific social media user Willie Degel doesn't want his fans to worry.

In fact, the day the finale aired, Jan. 8, the "Restaurant Stakeout" host posted a photo of the taping on Facebook and told fans that the network had already ordered a 13-episode Season 5.

A month later, on competing social media site Twitter, he said (in response to a fan's question) that the new season begins taping this month.

No premiere date has been announced yet, and it's hard to speculate -- the gap between previous seasons has varied. It's never been more than five months in the past, but if it only started taping this month, that would be an incredibly fast turnaround time.

The show features Degel, a restaurant entrepreneur who owns the Uncle Jack's steakhouse chain, traveling the country to help other restaurants in trouble.

He places hidden cameras throughout the establishments to "find and rectify the hidden problems that lie within their establishments," says the official Food Network description.

Some of the shocking behavior caught on camera has included a busboy's impromptu breakdancing show in the middle of the restaurant, a waiter and aspiring comedian harassing a diner who also happens to be an entertainment producer, and a Las Vegas bartender who put on an unauthorized fire-swinging show "just steps away from customers and a full spread of flammable liquor."

In the meantime, fans should look Degel up on one of his various social media platforms -- he's always posting things on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and frequently responds to fans' questions.
