I'm afraid there's no closure in the cards for you and your fellow "Las Vegas" fans.

TNT began airing reruns of the series in 2007, just a few months before NBC officially cancelled it after five almost, but not quite, full seasons.

The place where it "just stopped," as you say, was episode 19 of the fifth season. NBC had originally ordered a full 22 for that season, but opted not to film or air the final three, resulting in a serious cliffhanger.

Serious like Cooper (played by Tom Selleck) showing up at his own funeral after he's presumed dead in a plane crash. Serious like Delinda going into premature labor after hearing about it.

Those extra three episodes could have gone a lone way to clearing up some of that, and perhaps wrapping up a few of the soap-like plotlines.

But they were never made. There was brief talk of series stars Josh Duhamel and Molly Sims making a post-"Las Vegas" appearance in character on NBC's then-hot new "Knight Rider" remake, which would have at least given some closure to their storyline, but it didn't happen.

Fans will have to content themselves with going through the reruns again on TNT, and with the fact that most of the "Las Vegas" stars seem to have landed on their feet.

Duhamel seems poised for big-screen stardom, thanks in large part to his leading roles in the two recent, live-action "Transformers" films, which made Optimus Prime-sized truckloads of money.

Selleck has another "Jesse Stone" telefilm coming down the pipe this month, as well as a starring role in the upcoming CBS drama "Reagan's Law."

Sims appeared in three big-screen films after "Vegas," including the predictably high-grossing Jim Carrey vehicle "Yes Man." She has another in the works now, the indie drama "Hickory Nation."
