How about the Emmy Awards last night? Almost every show on TV was nominated for an Emmy, and once again I'd just like to say it's an honor to be ignored by your peers.

 

President Obama watched the Emmys and said the U.S. would be out of the Emmys by 2017.

The Rover

In a dystopian near-future, Eric (Pearce) lives a hard and solitary life, having lost his farm, his family and everything of value to him. When a gang of dangerous criminals steals his last possession -- his car -- Eric is determined to get it back. He sets off across the Australian outback to hunt the thieves down, enlisting the help of Rey (Pattinson), a naive young member of the gang who was wounded and left behind in their scramble to escape.

Neighbors

Mac (Rogen) and Kelly (Byrne) are a young couple settling into a quiet neighborhood after the birth of their new baby. Their peace and tranquility is abruptly shattered when a fraternity moves in next door. Led by Teddy (Efron), the rowdy group vows to keep the partying to a minimum, but the promise soon falls by the wayside. An all-out war begins when Mac finally breaks down and calls the police to deal with the noise, putting the frat boys up in arms. All hell breaks loose following Mac and Kelly’s brilliant prank on the boys, who are quick to retaliate in the most obnoxious ways.

Very Good Girls

Lifelong best friends Gerri (Olsen) and Lilly (Fanning) are in the midst of spending their last summer at home in New York before heading off to college. Neither one being very experienced with intimacy, the girls make a pact that they will both lose their virginity by the time autumn rolls around, and they take their first steps into adulthood. When they both set their sights on the same handsome street artist (Holbrook), the girls' friendship is put to the test for the first time in their lives, especially when Lilly secretly begins spending time with him.

Everyone's favorite spinster sleuth is back in a new episode of "Miss Marple." While on holiday, Miss Marple (Julia McKenzie) investigates the sudden death of a fellow guest at her luxurious island hotel, with the help of a curmudgeonly old tycoon.

Hell on Wheels, on AMC

Cullen (Anson Mount) is determined to keep his family safe in this new episode. While he comes to a decision to that effect, Campbell (Jake Weber) hires a new federal marshal to help keep things in line. The period drama follows the railroad construction across the United States in the 19th century.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Liam seeks out Hope to see if she will change her mind about being married to Wyatt after new information about Quinn orchestrating the situation comes to light. Later, Liam confronts Quinn about pushing Ivy into the water, while Hope confesses to Brooke her concerns about starting a family with Wyatt. After the evidence mounts of up against her, Quinn confesses and has a subsequent falling out with Wyatt. Hope is dumbstruck when she learns that it was Quinn and not fate that pushed her and Wyatt together. While Quinn turns to an unlikely source for comfort, Liam accuses Bill of favoring Wyatt and forces him to choose sides between his sons. Wyatt begs Hope not to allow Quinn's manipulation to ruin their marriage, while Liam promises Quinn that he will do whatever it takes to make sure she is one day locked up for her crimes.

Days of Our Lives

Kristen suggests to Daniel that they work together to expose Theresa for who she really is. Meanwhile, Brady becomes enraged when Theresa tells him that Kristen threatened her. Thanks to Eve's devious plot, JJ and Paige's first college party gets off to a rocky start when Paige receives incriminating photos of JJ with Jill. A panicked JJ tries to explain to Paige that he was set up. Hope confesses to Aiden that she does have feelings for him and later makes a tough decision about her future. Nicole offers comfort to Eric regarding the huge sacrifice he is making for John and Marlena. Sami gets closer to EJ, despite Roman warning her not to reconcile with him. Abigail is stunned when she runs into Chad. Clyde asks Kate out to dinner. Sonny offers advice when Will gets his latest writing assignment that is again about someone he knows personally. Chad accuses Ben of stealing, and the two get into a fight.

General Hospital

Obrecht's life may be in danger after she makes a confession to Victor. Sam and Patrick must face a moment of truth after their attraction to one another reaches the boiling point. An intense moment takes place between Maxie and Nathan. Later, Dante, Lulu, Maxie, Nathan, Anna and Obrecht all unexpectedly find themselves in peril. Robin is shocked when she runs into a former enemy. Spencer desperately tries to warn Nikolas about Luke's plan. Sabrina sets the wheels of her scheme in motion. Carly struggles with a guilty conscience while she plans Franco's birthday party. Later, Sonny and Carly share memories of Jason. Ava and Morgan have a serious discussion about the future of the baby. Nina is more determined than ever to destroy the next person on her list. Later, Nina lets Franco in on one of her secrets.

The Young and the Restless

Nick and Sharon discuss their past, and he tells her it's time to make new memories. The two get a suite at the GCAC and make passionate love. At the same time, Phyllis suffers a nightmare as her legs begin to twitch. Avery wonders if Dylan is warming up to Paul when Dylan makes some fishing lures to bring to the party. Victor becomes suspicious when Maureen refers to Nikki as Sherry, but Maureen covers by saying she was confused. Later, Nikki stops by Maureen's hotel room to see if she will keep her secret. Nikki decides that one drink won't hurt when Maureen offers her a toast. Paul is surprised by friends and family with a party at the GCAC for his winning of the Distinguished Citizen's Award. Michael and Lauren continue to struggle with tension in their marriage. Hilary and Devon admit they can't deny their feelings when they run into one another. Victor and Mariah bond over both being survivors, despite their differences.
