Q: Why have they stopped giving out TV Land Awards? As a senior citizen who has watched television since its inception, it was always nice to see actors and actresses from the past.

The network never provided much of a reason, but the "10th Annual TV Land Awards," broadcast in 2012, was the final edition.

The network's website, TVLand.com, still has an entry for the TV Land Awards, but it hasn't been updated since the 2012 broadcast.

Do you read "People" magazine? Neither do I. But they released exclusive pictures of Angelina Jolie's wedding dress. I don't know about you, but I find it refreshing that people still get excited about pictures of celebrities wearing clothes.

 

Justin Bieber was arrested and charged with assault after his vehicle hit a minivan. On the plus side, it was the first hit he's had in a while.

Transformers: Age of Extinction

Five years after the Decepticons invaded Chicago, the Autobots have gone into hiding as fear grows among society. Though the Autobots were initially granted asylum, the government has been secretly and systematically hunting them down. Cade Yeager (Wahlberg), a single father and mechanic, stumbles across a deactivated Optimus Prime (Cullen), and soon he and his daughter’s boyfriend (Reynor) become wrapped up in a conflict between man and machine. Meanwhile, the future of mankind itself is threatened when a new and powerful enemy targets Earth.

Chef

When his culinary creativity is staunched by his autocratic employer (Hoffman), talented chef Carl Casper (Favreau) leaves his job at a prominent Los Angeles restaurant to consider the next stage of his life. Returning to his hometown of Miami, Fla., Carl reunites with his ex-wife (Vergara), his son (Anthony) and his friend (Leguizamo), and together they open up a food truck. Hitting the road, the gang sets off across the country as Chef Carl plans to reassert himself as a culinary master and reclaim his success in L.A.

Hellion

Hollis Wilson (Paul) is a hard-drinking and emotionally absent single father who struggles to raise his two boys, especially his rebellious 13-year-old son Jacob (Wiggins). As Jacob’s obsession with heavy metal and motocross culture leads to dangerous behavior, the authorities step in, placing his younger brother Wes (Garner) in the custody of his Aunt Pam (Lewis), forcing Jacob to rekindle his relationship with his estranged father in order to bring Wes home.

Decoding Annie Parker

Based on incredible true events, the story follows Annie Parker (Morton), who lives a wonderful life with her parents and her older sister. After a series of tragedies wherein her father dies and both her mother and sister lose battles with breast cancer, Annie is struck by the incurable disease herself. Meanwhile, brilliant geneticist Mary-Claire King (Hunt) is on the hunt for new information on the origins of cancer. The two women soon find their paths intersecting, and they discover a bond that goes beyond science.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Hope is utterly torn between her desire to be with Liam and not wanting to simply repeat the same mistakes her mother has made in the past. Liam tells Hope all the different ways they could spend their lives together, while Caroline tries to ease Wyatt's concern over possibly losing Hope. Meanwhile, Quinn worries she may have pushed Wyatt away forever. As Charlie and Pam fill in the Forrester Creations team about what they know about Quinn's trip to Paris, Ivy angrily confronts Quinn about what transpired. Later, Ivy laments having fallen for Liam knowing that he is still in love with Hope. Maya uses Ridge and Caroline's working relationship to plant a seed of doubt in Rick's mind about his wife's loyalty, and she also works on Katie's insecurities about her engagement to Ridge. Katie witnesses the building chemistry between Caroline and Ridge when she sees them working together. Bill keeps trying get back in Brooke's good graces, while Deacon works to remind her of their past together.

Days of Our Lives

After enduring several months of being at odds, Sami and EJ finally make love again. EJ fully confesses to Sami the truth about the past before he presents her with a new ring and they privately exchange wedding vows. Later, EJ is floored when his mother, Susan, makes a surprise appearance in Salem. Brady tears into Kristen under the belief that her drug to save John was just a lie. As Marlena prepares to say her final goodbyes to John, Theresa fears that the truth about what she did to John will come out. Nicole pressures Eric to testify against Kristen, while Jennifer lashes out at Daniel for keeping secrets about JJ. Eve continues with her plot against JJ, but it threatens to backfire. Clyde makes a proposition to Kate while they are out to dinner. Meanwhile, Hope gently breaks the news to Caroline that she has filed for a divorce from Bo. Later, Caroline becomes enraged when she learns Hope is moving in with Aiden. Rafe is not impressed when he finds Chad flirting with Jordan.

General Hospital

Kiki comes out with the truth when Franco pressures her about it. Later, Franco shocks everyone with his birthday toast, and soon starts the wheels spinning in his latest plot. Lucy urges Scott to finally make a choice. Max and Shawn try to bring Ava back to Sonny's, but Ava makes a dash to leave town. After Ava's plan hits a roadblock, Morgan agrees to help her. Robin feels the squeeze as her options start to dwindle. Nathan asks Maxie a question, while Kiki reveals her secrets to Morgan. Elizabeth provides comfort to an unidentified patient at the hospital. Jordan and Shawn's relationship is put to the test. Luke sends someone to seek out answers from Julian. Meanwhile, Sam and Patrick fill Alexis in on their suspicions regarding Luke.

The Young and the Restless

Sharon and Nick are surprised when Mariah returns home while they are discussing wedding plans, but things get tense quickly and Sharon and Mariah get into an argument. Summer decides to go see Phyllis when she learns of Sharon and Nick's engagement. At the same time, Dr. Cutler finds Phyllis' bed empty and advises Summer to hold off for a few days. Sharon asks Summer to be her bridesmaid, while a newly conscious Phyllis tries to hitchhike her way back to Genoa City. Billy and Chelsea go on their first official date in the park, while Victoria has an emotional run in with Stitch. Meanwhile, Dylan starts to worry about Nikki, and as soon as he leaves, she takes a drink.
