Q: What was Hugh Laurie actually eating when he popped a Vicodin as Dr. House? It happens multiple times each episode.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

The short answer is he doesn't know.

Hugh Laurie played Dr. Gregory House in Fox's long-running medical dramedy "House M.D." The character was supposed to be addicted to the painkiller Vicodin.

During an interview on the talk show "Ellen," she asked what he was taking and he said: "I honestly don't know. I think it's something to stop me from complaining. They told me at the beginning it's some sort of lactose or lactase, whatever the word is."

Love, Lust or Run, on TLC

Style expert Stacy London uses her fashion expertise to help nursing student Desiree in this new episode. A mother of two, Desiree wants to be taken seriously by her classmates, but her appearance is more party animal than serious student.

Q: I miss seeing "Bates Motel" and "Hardcore Pawn." Will these programs be returning with new episodes?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Oddly enough, given its subject matter, "Bates Motel" is the safe one here.

Well, at least its future is safe; the critically acclaimed A&E thriller returns with new episodes Monday, March 7. The same cannot be said for "Hardcore Pawn."

The truTV reality series about the frequently odd (though again, when you're being compared to "Bates Motel," oddness is relative) workings of the American Jewelry & Loan pawn shop in Detroit has not yet been renewed for a 10th season.

Married at First Sight, on A&E

Six weeks after getting married to a complete stranger, the participants must decide whether to stay together or go their separate ways in this two-hour season finale. A panel of relationship experts matched the six singles in this reality TV show.
