Q: Has anyone ever made a biographical movie about Chet Baker? He's one of my favorite musicians, and it seems like his life would make a good story.

A handsome, talented young musician rises to fame, loses it while battling a drug addiction, then has a comeback years later before dying mysteriously outside an Amsterdam hotel -- that is the kind of story Hollywood loves to tell. It just hasn't gotten around to telling Baker's yet.

Indeed, the problem may be that Hollywood's been telling that story too often -- at least too often for Josh Hartnett's taste.

Alphas, on Syfy

Seemingly ordinary people with extraordinary abilities continue their quest as Season 2 of “Alphas” comes to a close. Emmy winner David Strathairn stars as a brilliant neurologist who specializes in studying people with super-human powers in this sci-fi drama.

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

A giant asteroid named Matilda will collide with Earth in two weeks, wiping out all human life. Dodge’s neighbor, Penny, reveals that his wife was having an affair, which explains why she took off after hearing the news of their impending doom. Suddenly eager to see his high school sweetheart, Dodge asks Penny to help him find her, promising to help her get back to her family in England once they do. Their final adventure is full of surprises, and the travelers soon learn that love has been close by all along.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Thomas flaunts his newfound power as interim CEO of Forrester Creations, much to the chagrin of the employees. Donna realizes his attitude stems from insecurities about being in charge as well as his recent breakup with Caroline, so she gives him some advice on how to better handle the power. At Brooke and Bill's urging, Katie confides in Taylor about feeling like an inadequate mother to newborn Will. After telling Hope and Rick about her falling out with Ridge, Brooke tries to get him to come home and give her one more chance. Later, Brooke has an emotionally charged heart-to-heart with Taylor about Ridge and reminisces with Stephanie about their turbulent relationship over the years. Meanwhile, Steffy tells Liam he is still in love with Hope, but that his heart will belong only to her one day. Rick starts to feel guilty for causing Hope so much pain during his scheme to break up her and Liam.

Days of Our Lives

Kristen returns to Salem at Stefano's urging and meets EJ for the first time. As John is haunted by nightmares of his past with Kristen, Marlena comes face to face with her at lookout point. Recovering at the hospital after her tumble, Nicole tries to convince Daniel that Jennifer pushed her, but he has trouble believing her. Later, Daniel visits Jennifer at the police station and tells her he believes she is innocent. EJ gets proof that he was the father of Nicole's baby and he uses the information to drive a wedge between Sami and Rafe. Meanwhile, Gabi goes on her first date with Nick but thinks about her recent one-night stand with Will when they run into him and Sonny out together. After a period of denial, Roman comes to accept his mother's condition, and Bo volunteers to be Caroline's primary caregiver since he left his job.

General Hospital

Heather takes a dive off the roof of the hospital and McBain and Dante arrive on the roof to find Jason and Sam reunited with their baby. Todd tells Tea that Victor isn't really her son and with McBain's help, they get her to face the truth. Alexis and Sonny discuss having Connie committed fresh off her wedding to Johnny. Carly returns a special gift to Johnny and kisses him to test the validity of his marriage. Meanwhile, Duke tries to start things up with Anna on their wedding anniversary while Luke talks to Lulu about his tumultuous relationship with Anna. Later, Lulu is pleasantly surprised at the doctor's office when she learns Dante submitted to a fertility test on his own.

The Young and the Restless

Phyllis is overjoyed when her case is dismissed, but her relief is cut short when she and Nick get word that Summer was involved in a car accident. At the hospital, it's revealed that Summer was driving dangerously and her collision with Adam and Chelsea caused them to lose their baby boy. In the aftermath of the accident, Summer decides to file for emancipation. Meanwhile, Jack takes control of Newman Enterprises and promptly fires Victor, Nick and Victoria. Searching for answers in Jack's documents, Victor realizes Sharon's antics played a part in the takeover and he later collapses in his office. Victoria urges Billy to take the job offer from Jack so that he can be a spy for the recently fired Newmans. Eden tells Christine, Paul and Heather that she had a dream about Ricky, so Christine takes off to California to hunt for clues.
