Married couple Guy (García Bernal) and Prisca Cappa (Krieps) go on holiday with their young children, Maddox (Swinton) and Trent (River), as one final family vacation before their divorce. Following the advice of the resort manager (Hammarsten), the family is taken to a secluded beach and family members meet other vacationers and quickly learns that the beach is rapidly aging them, reducing their entire lives to a matter of hours. With no means of escape, the aging beach residents quickly approach the end of their lives until the last two youngest vacationers are given a secret that could save them from the same fate.
Known only as Snake Eyes (Golding), a martial arts fighter seeks revenge against his father's killer. After being recruited by Yakuza boss Kenta (Hira), Snake Eyes is told to prove his loyalty by shooting a traitor, Kenta's cousin Tommy (Koji), but he refuses, instead helping Tommy escape. The two of them go to Japan, where Snake Eyes is initiated into Tommy's clan and learns about a jewel that could help in his quest for revenge. Forced to choose between betraying Tommy and going after his father's killer, Snake Eyes follows his deepest desire, soon learning the truth about his father and his ties to the G.I. Joes. Everything changes when Snake Eyes meets Scarlett (Weaving), who offers him a chance to be a Joe.
Nearly two years after the fall of civilization due to the widespread outbreak of a deadly virus, a survivalist and former FBI agent (Meyers) is forced to protect a young woman (Modine) from a violent gang.
