One night, Russian soldiers break into John Kelly's (Jordan) home and murder his pregnant wife in an act of retaliation for his role in a top-secret operation. Having survived the assault, Kelly seeks revenge against the men and will stop at nothing to find and eliminate the assassins. But during his mission, Kelly uncovers an international plot that threatens to start a war between the U.S. and Russia and must now reveal those behind the conspiracy if he wants to stop disaster from happening.
Troy (Moyer) and his son, Jake (Van Acker), have been isolated in the wilderness for more than 20 years. Living off the land has been tough, but necessary, as Troy warns his son of the dangers that lie outside their utopia and shows no mercy to trespassers, who are swiftly executed. But Jake's curiosity about the outside world gets the better of him, and while out scavenging for medicine he comes across a beautiful woman whom he can't bring himself to kill despite his father's warnings about strangers. As their relationship grows, Jakes begins to suspect the outside world isn't at all what his father led him to believe for the past 20 years.
When, out of the blue, freewheeling tattoo artist Jimmy Jayne (Sawa) becomes implicated in a murder case, it appears his days of inking gorgeous artwork onto even more beautiful women and partying his nights away in Los Angeles are over. Worse yet, with two LAPD detectives (Willis, Wilson) on his tail, he must find unique ways to stay under the radar in L.A. while trying to clear his name. While living his new life, Jayne discovers more darkness lurking beneath the City of Angels than he expected.
