Following the seizure of her assets after her husband’s untimely death in New York City, Frances Price (Pfeiffer), facing insolvency, takes solace in her best friend, Joan (Coyle), who offers the newly widowed Frances, her son, Malcom (Hedges), and the family cat, Small Frank, her empty apartment in Paris. Falling into a similar routine as the one she had in New York, Frances' life is upturned by Madame Reynard (Mahaffey), a woman Frances has never met but with whom she shares many coincidental similarities. As the mother-and-son duo begin to establish their lives in a foreign city, a disappearance forces them to enlist the help of others.
After Godzilla's attack on Apex Cybernetics in Pensacola, Florida, home to Mark Russell (Chandler) and his daughter, Madison (Brown), Apex Cybernetics founder and CEO Walter Simmons (Bichir) enlists Hollow Earth expert Nathan Lind (Skarsgard).
