Q: I really loved the first season of the "Fargo" TV series. When's it coming back?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Though season 1 aired last spring, running from April to June on FX, the new season won't premiere until the fall. When it comes back, it's going to look a little different as well.

As is popular nowadays on cable (see also hits such as "True Detective" and "American Horror Story"), the show's second season will tell a completely different story with completely different characters.

Q: I remember watching a TV-movie version of "The Odyssey" back in the '90s and loving it. Is it available on DVD?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

It is available on DVD, but you may have to hunt for it. In the bargain bins.

The 1997 miniseries version of "The Odyssey" was a rather expensive production by TV standards -- it aired on NBC in two parts and was filmed on location in Malta and Turkey, among other places. But that's the sort of production you get from Francis Ford Coppola -- the famed director's American Zoetrope production house backed the miniseries.

Q: Is it true that Tom Hardy did an entire movie by himself? I heard him mention something about it in an interview.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Technically, yes, he did. He had a little help, though.

In the 2013 film "Locke," current Hollywood it-boy Tom Hardy played Ivan Locke, a successful construction manager whose personal and professional lives unravel over the course of one long car drive, which the film shows in real time. The plot is revealed through a series of phone calls, and the entire film (save shots at the beginning and end) takes place inside Locke's car.

The Brink, on HBO

Three key players work together to save the world from annihilation when a rogue general seizes control of Pakistan's nuclear arsenal in this premiere. The new 10-episode dark comedy stars Tim Robbins, Jack Black and Pablo Schreiber.

The Forger

With his son Will (Sheridan) dying of terminal cancer, Ray cuts a deal with a crime boss that gets him released from prison early so that he can spend time at his son's side during his final days. Along with his own father (Plummer), who's been looking after Will during Ray's incarceration, the ex-con tries to make the most of his son's remaining time on Earth. However, the crime boss who got him released from prison in the first place still has a job for Ray to do in return: forging a Monet masterpiece and swapping it for the original without getting caught. With detectives keeping an eye on him and his emotions on a roller-coaster, Ray sets out to pull off what may be the most important forgery of his career.
