In the fallout of the battle of Chicago, humanity has declared war on all Transformers. While in hiding with his friend Bumblebee and a number of other renegade Transformers, Cade Yeager (Wahlberg) is contacted by the mysterious Sir Edmund Burton (Hopkins), the last living member of an ancient order with knowledge of the Transformers' history on Earth. Along with Vivian (Haddock), a descendant of the legendary Merlin (Tucci), Cade and Bumblebee uncover ancient secrets about the Earth just in time to use the information to confront the greatest threat that the planet has ever faced.
After a bad breakup, Lisa (Moore) is taken on vacation to Mexico by her sister, Kate (Holt), where the two decide to get a little adventurous and go cage diving with sharks. While the boat captain (Modine) throws bait in the water to attract the killer fish, the women are put into a cage that is slowly lowered beneath the surface. When the chain holding the cage snaps, though, the women plunge into the depths, finally coming to rest on the bottom, 47 meters below the surface of the shark-infested waters.
Dylan (Huisman), a talented air traffic controller, is suspended from his job after a flash of light that only he can see blinds him at exactly 2:22 one afternoon, causing two aircraft to nearly collide in midair. He begins to pursue a relationship with Sarah (Palmer), a beautiful woman he meets during his suspension, but the phenomenon that first manifested itself as a flash of light begins to escalate into something more, always occurring at exactly 2:22, and driving Dylan to solve its mystery before time runs out.
