The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1

Picking up immediately after the events of the 75th Hunger Games, the third "Hunger Games" film continues the story of Katniss Everdeen's (Lawrence) struggle against the tyrannical Capital and its cold-hearted leader, President Snow (Sutherland). After being rescued by an unexpected ally (Hoffman), Katniss is taken to the rebellion's hideout beneath the ruins of District 13, where she is reunited with her mother and sister. As a symbol who has inspired resistance throughout the nation, Katniss is soon being courted by the leaders of the rebellion to star in a series of propaganda videos in support of their cause. With her friend and portrayed lover Peeta (Hutcherson) left behind by the rebellion and taken captive by the despised President Snow, though, Katniss resists their efforts to recruit her -- until the resistance shows her the ruins of her own destroyed district and the true brutality of their enemy. She agrees to help them on one condition: that they rescue and pardon Peeta.
