While looking through some old letters written by her late sister, she learns that her family had left behind some original pieces of artwork when they fled and that one of them is a painting of her aunt by Gustav Klimt. Determined to retrieve her property, she challenges the Austrian government all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States to get it back -- but the painting, called the Woman in Gold, is now considered an Austrian national treasure.
