In the Heart of the Sea

The true story that inspired the classic novel “Moby-Dick” comes to life. In 1820, the whaling ship Essex sets sail, but finds little success. Tensions flare between first mate Owen Chase (Hemsworth), an experienced whaler, and Capt. George Pollard (Walker), but when the ship is nearly destroyed in a storm, they agree to set aside their differences and head for what they hope will be more lucrative whaling waters in the Pacific. There, they find much more whale than they bargained for when a massive albino wrecks their ship and leaves the crew stranded on an isolated island. With little hope of rescue, they set out to cross the ocean, but the great beast is on the hunt.
