Grizzled mercenary Wade Wilson (Reynolds) has met the love of his life and he couldn't be happier. On the very night that he proposes marriage to Vanessa (Baccarin), though, he collapses, and is later diagnosed with terminal cancer. When a mysterious man approaches him offering an experimental cure for his disease, Wade takes him up on the offer so that Vanessa won't have to watch him deteriorate. The people behind this "treatment" turn out to be much more sinister than they seemed, and their experiments cause Wade to develop super-healing abilities. He manages to escape from the facility, but not before becoming horribly disfigured from the villainous treatment. Happy that his super healing has purged the cancer from his body but ashamed of his new appearance, Wade starts a murderous hunt for Francis (Skrein), the scientist who performed the treatment, and the only one who knows how to reverse Wade's disfigurement.

Greta (Cohan), an American nanny, arrives in the United Kingdom to start a job looking after the son of a wealthy couple. To her surprise and amusement, it turns out that the "boy" she's to look after is actually a porcelain doll that the couple treats as a real child after losing their son in a fire decades prior. Before leaving for their vacation, the couple gives Greta a strict list of rules to follow with their "child," which she happily ignores once she's alone. But when strange things start happening around the house and the doll starts moving from room to room, Greta begins to understand that there is more to this doll than meets the eye.

Later, Natalie and Kevin celebrate their new wealth with a lunch of champagne and caviar. Summer tells her father that she's with Luca and he needs to respect that when she overhears Nick tell Luca to stay away from her.
