X-Men: Days of Future Past

In an alternate future, the war against humans and mutants has reached a desperate point. Surviving mutants have been segregated into concentration camps, enormous and lethal Sentinel robots patrol the country, and the majority of the X-Men have been killed. In a last-ditch attempt to change history, the X-Men send Wolverine (Jackman) back in time to track down the team's younger selves in order to prevent a key event from happening. A battle ensues that spans two time periods and will ultimately determine the fate of humans and mutants alike.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman

The "Rocky and Bullwinkle" time-traveling team is hitting the big screen. Mr. Peabody (Burrell) is an inventor, scientist and the smartest "person" in the world, though he’s actually a talking dog. When his adopted boy Sherman (Charles) takes the WABAC time machine for a ride to impress his friend Penny (Winter), they accidentally tear a hole in the universe, disastrously altering history. Mr. Peabody must come to their rescue before the future is rewritten forever.

Throwdown

While battling a bad drinking habit, a young criminal defense attorney (Woodward Jr.) finds himself bound to a homicide case involving the mob that is much more intricate than it appears. In order to salvage the life of his client, as well as his own, he soon realizes that he must take drastic measures that go against the law.

Mystery Road

The Bold and the Beautiful

Quinn makes wild threats when Hope tells her she will not be welcome into her grandchild's life. Liam is put on the spot when John asks him about his intentions toward Ivy. Charlie begins to worry that he has competition for Pam's affections. Rick discloses his concerns to Katie about how Ridge and Caroline's working relationship may be much more. Meanwhile, Carter urges Maya not to spread rumors about Ridge and Caroline. Later, Rick's fears coalesce when he walks in on Ridge and Caroline during an intimate drawing session. Caroline jumps to Ridge's defense when Rick issues his brother an ultimatum. Upset about Brooke leaving town, Bill receives some advice from Justin on how to get his mojo back. Later, Bill gets Katie to admit that she is insecure in her relationship with Ridge. Hell-bent on winning back Rick's heart, Maya spreads rumors about Ridge and Caroline carrying on behind closed doors.

Days of Our Lives

An enraged Stefano turns his back on his son EJ. Later, EJ rips into Chad for revealing his secret to Stefano. Meanwhile, Sami and Will have a fight when she finds out about his latest article. Will is shocked at Chad's anger toward EJ when he begins to interview him for the article. Brady finds himself being drawn back into Kristen's twisted web of deceit. John makes a stunning announcement to Marlena, Brady and Kristen. Later, Theresa panics when John invites her to his hospital room, but he makes a decision that floors both Theresa and Kristen. Meanwhile, Jennifer asks for Julie's help in stopping Eve. Paige questions Kayla about JJ's dad, which makes her uncomfortable, and later is upset when JJ seems to pull away from her. Jordan becomes angry when she learns what Ben's been up to. Clyde makes a tempting offer to Ben, while Chad decides to ask Jordan out. Rafe tries to warn Kate that she could be making a huge mistake.

General Hospital

Silas is confronted with the shocking truth, and he soon becomes extremely suspicious of Nina. Elizabeth remains hopeful about her mysterious patient. Maxie becomes reacquainted with Nathan, and later, she is issued an ultimatum from Judge Walters in regards to her daughter. Meanwhile, Sam and Patrick end up in an awkward situation. Sonny and Shawn plot to bring Franco down, while Franco carefully considers what his next move will be. Rosalie makes a surprising discovery, while Sabrina starts to have second thoughts about her theory. Nikolas and Spencer extend an invitation to Britt that she never expected. Ava's baby faces a potential risk, but Ava remains unaware. Milo takes Epiphany out on a date, while Tracy arranges to meet with Luke. Obrecht opens the door and comes face-to-face with an unexpected visitor.

The Young and the Restless

When Victor arrives at the facility and demands to know where Phyllis is, Dr. Cutler admits that he has no clue as to what kind of state she may be in. At the same time, Summer decides to fly down to the clinic to visit her mom. Later, Mariah makes a threat to Victor that she will tell Nick the truth about Summer's paternity. Victor tells her to keep her mouth shut and that she has no proof. When Victoria arrives at the ranch house, Nikki covers up the fact that she is hungover and has forgotten about Nick and Sharon's wedding. Later, Nikki admits to Victoria that she is not exactly eager to have Sharon join the family. Soon, family and friends gather together at the church for the wedding. Devon tells Lily that there is someone special in his life, but he gets defensive when she asks him who it is.

Q: Why aren't they making any more Jane Austen movies in Hollywood? I'd love to see a big adaptation of one of her lesser-known books, such as "Northanger Abbey."

It has seemed for a while as if the studios had given up making things for Jane Austen fans and devoted themselves to making things about them (there will, of course, be quite a bit of overlap there).

The 2013 Kerri Russell film "Austenland" and the 2008 TV miniseries "Lost in Austen" prove that there is an enduring interest in the great British novelist's work. But you're right, there hasn't been a big-screen adaptation of one of her novels in a while.
