Late Laughs for the week of May 3 - 9, 2015

The Late Show: David Letterman

How many of you intentionally don't pay your taxes? Me, neither. Whenever I go there to my accountant's office, I'm taken up in the elevator blindfolded. I said: "I'm worried about having money for retirement." He said: "Don't worry, you'll get your cut."

We have Donald Trump and Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham all running for president. It's all part of the Republican plan to make Jeb Bush look presidential.

Q: Is it true they're making another Rocky movie? Isn't Stallone getting a little old to be boxing?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

While it's technically true that another Rocky movie is in the works, it's the first one to not actually be called "Rocky," and Sylvester Stallone's iconic character won't be the guy getting punched in the ring.

Stallone will play boxer Rocky Balboa, but he's there as mentor to a young boxer named Adonis Creed, the grandson of his old adversary, Apollo. In keeping with the series' tradition of title creativity, the film will be called "Creed."

There's danger in the very streets of London! Where penny dreadfuls were cheap, sensationalized stories of criminals, detectives and the supernatural published in the 19th century, Showtime's "Penny Dreadful" is a show where grinding gears herald the turn of the century and passion and death were easier to come upon.

Q: Who played Poseidon in "Once Upon a Time"? He looked really familiar to me.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Having mastered the busting of ghosts, Ernie Hudson took to television to try busting fairy-tale characters.

Hudson, who played a villainous version of the Greek sea god Poseidon on ABC's "Once Upon a Time" a few weeks ago, is best known by just about everyone for having played Winston Zeddmore in the modern classic "Ghostbusters" (1984) and its 1989 sequel.
