Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., on ABC

To fans of the TV universe that Donald P. Bellisario created around the U.S. naval legal system, "JAG" and "NCIS: New Orleans" probably both seem very current. "NCIS: New Orleans" is a spinoff of "NCIS," which in turn spun off from "JAG," so this universe hasn't left the air since it started in 1995.

But to Zoe McLellan, who starred on the original series and the most recent spinoff, they're a lifetime apart.

Inherent Vice

In 1970s California, Shasta Fay Hepworth (Waterston) has a new lover, Mickey (Roberts), who is, unfortunately for her, married. She approaches her ex-boyfriend, Doc (Phoenix), to get help preventing Mickey's wife from having him abducted. This is but one of the three cases that Doc takes on: he also agrees to hunt down a member of a white supremacist group who owes someone money and to also help find a woman's missing husband. As he investigates the three seemingly unrelated cases, Doc's path always seems to cross Shasta's, and their old romance begins to rekindle, despite their best intentions.

The Gambler

Jim Bennett (Wahlberg) is a literature professor with a bad gambling addiction in this remake of the classic 1974 film. When Bennett ends up owing almost $300,000 to loan sharks after a bad gambling run, Bennett is given only seven days to come up with the money or he'll wind up dead. After searching unsuccessfully for someone to loan him the money to pay off his debtors, Bennett turns to his students as a possible out for the hole that he finds himself in. Soon, though, his students end up becoming collateral in the high-stakes, life-or-death games he's been playing, and as the noose grows ever tighter, it looks increasingly like Bennett won't make it out of this situation alive.

Boy Meets Girl

A young transgender woman (Hendley) catches the eye of a local debutante whose fiancé has issues with their newly forged friendship in this critically acclaimed coming-of-age romantic comedy that explores the foundations of gender.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Maya and Nicole discover Liam eavesdropping on their private conversation, but he covers up what he actually overheard and instead discusses the possibility of Nicole becoming the next model for Forrester Creations. Maya defends Rick's management style when Liam voices his disapproval. Wyatt decides to find out what Nicole knows about Rick and Maya by using his charm and offering her a first-hand taste of the Spencer family lifestyle. While Wyatt takes Nicole out for a special evening, Kate expresses her distaste of Bill and Liam's support of Wyatt's insincere pursuit of Nicole. Meanwhile, Liam and Ivy break into Rick's office after hours and rummage through his things. Carter continues to pressure Maya into fully disclosing her past to Rick, but Maya insists she will as soon as she knows they have a solid future together.

Days of Our Lives

Adrienne tells Sonny about her affair with Lucas. After Justin endures an emotional conversation with Adrienne, he reaches out to Sonny. Serena tries to make off with the diamonds from Daniel's apartment, but she ends up in a physical struggle with Nicole.

General Hospital

Carly harbors suspicions that Ric could be scamming Jake, and she becomes very skeptical of Hayden and her claims. Nikolas worries when he finds that Jason's ring has gone missing. Later, Nikolas finds himself in a passionate situation. Valerie makes Lulu very uncomfortable. Lucy offers a suggestion to Nathan, while Spinelli turns to Sam for help. Duke orders that a hit be carried out. Sloane urges Jake to figure out what the Jeromes are really up to, and he later arrives at home to find a distressed Hayden. TJ delivers some unsettling news to Shawn, while Sabrina discovers something. As the mob wars reach the boiling point, a gunshot is fired. Morgan and Kiki finally tell the truth. Nathan has questions for Silas about his dealings in New York.

The Young and the Restless

Sage worries that Nick will want to put things on hold between them because of Sharon being in so much trouble. As Dylan pulls out all the stops to find out who is framing Sharon, Sharon reveals to Michael that she believes her life is over. As Neil's trial gets underway, Neil assures Devon that he won't be driven to drink again by anything that happens in court. Nikki's guilt grows as Leslie questions Christine on the stand. Ashley fears that Jabot is at risk of a takeover after she and Billy make a shocking discovery. After Jack promises her that he won't do anything to jeopardize their future together, Phyllis urges Kyle to make an effort to get along with his father. Victoria assures Victor that she is fully committed to working at Newman. Chelsea hears some words of wisdom from Gloria.
