Q: In the CBS show "Battle Creek," I think the actor playing the policeman is the same actor playing the "Mayhem" guy in the insurance commercial, but where have we seen the actor playing the FBI agent?

It's interesting to see the effect that a good commercial role can have on an actor's profile. You recognize Dean Winters, who does indeed play an embodied version of "Mayhem" in a series of insurance commercials, before you recognize his "Battle Creek" co-star, Josh Duhamel, who is arguably the bigger star.

American Sniper

After being raised by a father who taught him how to shoot a rifle, Chris Kyle (Cooper) becomes a Navy SEAL sniper. He is sent to Iraq following the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, where his first kills are a mother and her young boy. Although he is shaken and upset by this, he is given the nickname "Legend" as his number of kills increases, eventually becoming the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history. Back home, though, his lengthy absences and troubled emotional state begin to take a hefty toll on his wife and family.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2

When Lou (Corddry) is shot by a mysterious assailant, his friends Nick (Robinson) and Jacob (Duke) fire up their hot tub time machine to travel to the past in order to find and stop the assailant. However, they wind up a decade in the future and conclude that the would-be killer must be from this time period. With potential suspects aplenty, the hunt is on to find the murderous time traveler so they can alter the future and save the past.

Director: Steve Pink. Stars: Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke, Adam Scott, Gillian Jacobs, Chevy Chase. 2015. 93 min. Comedy.

 

What We Do in the Shadows

Jackie (van Beek) is a human servant to a group of four vampires living in a flat in Wellington, New Zealand. She wants to become one of them herself, but the vampires, who can only go outside after dark, refuse. After Jackie's ex-boyfriend Nick (Gonzalez-Macuer) is accidentally turned into a vampire, the beasts invite him to join their family and begin to learn how to use modern technology. Nick, though, has trouble adapting to his new lifestyle, and he accidentally reveals his dark secret to a vampire hunter, who tracks down the little family at their flat.

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton announced she is running for president, and yesterday, Marco Rubio announced he's running for president. I might throw my hat in the ring -- anyone can do it.

 

The Olive Garden has announced that it's providing tablet computers at every table. Next up is an even more ambitious plan: Providing Italian food in every Olive Garden.

Co-hosts Ludacris and Chrissy Teigen honour the year’s most popular musicians. In addition to performers Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran, Fall Out Boy and Nick Jonas, the ceremony will feature the television debut of Britney Spears’ “Pretty Girls” featuring Iggy Azalea.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Brooke places all of the blame for Rick's current situation on Ridge. Rick and Maya escape to the Big Bear cabin for a weekend of romance and relaxation, but Brooke's words of warning prevent Maya from completely enjoying the getaway. Meanwhile, Nicole expresses to Carter her regret at having trusted Wyatt. Bill feels his sons are keeping something from him, and he insists that he be brought in the loop. Nicole, Carter and Ridge confer as word begins to spread regarding Maya's history. Nicole confronts a guilt-ridden Wyatt about betraying her trust, while Ridge tries to do some damage control before the rumors about Maya spread any further. Later, Brooke and Eric discuss how to support and protect Rick upon his return from the cabin. Ridge assures everyone he's taken matters into his own hands and has it all under control. Despite Katie's objections, Bill moves forward with a plan to benefit the company's bottom line.

Days of Our Lives

Having just discovered they are brothers, Brady and Paul have a tense encounter. Lucas intends to utterly destroy his mother and her company, and he makes sure Kate gets the message. JJ tries to convince Roman that he's not dealing drugs again. Once he realizes he's being set up, JJ decides to take care of Eve once and for all. Marlena is kidnapped and whisked off to Italy where she is confronted by Stefano. Stefano revisits his complicated past with Marlena and decides that she must die for what she did to Kristen. Meanwhile, Abe and Roman enlist Chad's help to go rescue Marlena. Melanie worries that Theresa will try to use the baby to come between her and Brady. Nicole makes a discovery regarding Serena and Xander's connection. In Poplar Bluff, Will does research for his article about Clyde, and he runs into an imposing Jeremiah.

General Hospital

Sabrina struggles with a difficult decision, while Jake finds himself stuck with a predicament. After Sloane brings him up to speed on the latest plan, Jake plays Julian. Sam discovers a very special piece of jewelry. Michael is faced with some questions from Tracy about ELQ. Worried about her baby, Olivia asks Dante for a favor. Alexis grills Julian about his latest exploits in the mob. Elizabeth is taken aback by some unexpected news. Hayden issues a serious warning to Nikolas and later challenges Elizabeth. Nina makes a major announcement to Franco. Someone in Port Charles is shot.

The Young and the Restless

After a tense run-in with Hilary, Neil admits to Nikki that he is still tempted to drink. Later, Devon reveals to Neil that he is back together with Hilary and explains that she is the only reason Neil isn't in prison. Nikki demands that Victor fill her in on what's really going on between Newman and Jabot. Abby jumps to her mother's defense when Phyllis accuses Ashley of trying to steal the CEO title. Later, Billy and Ashley confront Nikki about the Newman/Jabot merger. When Neil arrives, he and Billy come to blows over the validity of the merger. Adam insists that Chelsea tell him she doesn't feel anything for him, but she can't deny her attraction, and the two end up having a passionate evening together. Sharon visits Nick to discuss sharing custody of Faith. At the island shack, Kelly tells Jack that she's his only family now and everyone in Genoa City has moved on without him. Kevin, Mariah, Kyle, Summer, Noah and Abby each receive a mysterious text inviting them all back to the Abbott cabin.
