Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Well, they're trying to.

Brad Bird, who wrote and directed the original "Incredibles" movie back in 2004, has signed on to do the same for the sequel. He's in the midst of writing it now.

However, his writing process is being hindered by the combined might of Batman, Superman, Thor, the Incredible Hulk, and all the other superheroes that have been clogging screens in the 11 years since his first installment.

Executive producer Stephen Nathan said the show's writers had to make a season finale that could double as a satisfying series finale because they were making it before they knew if they were being renewed.

But they were renewed, and so Booth (played by David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be back.

Q: I see what looks like Vancouver quite often on the ABC show "Motive." Am I right? When does "Motive" return?

"New York Times" reviewer Mike Hale neatly sums up the cross-border cop show's approach to setting, saying it's set in Vancouver "very subtly, so as not to confuse or turn off American viewers."

The fact that it is shot in Vancouver is not a secret, but the producers don't broadcast it, either (if you'll pardon the pun).

Stand-up comedy is generally a comedian's perspective on life, people and the world around them. Whether it's a skewed look at radical day-to-day interactions they have with others or shots at themselves with self-deprecating humor, a comedian often asks themselves one question: "Why?"
