He went from one specialty-cable affiliate of a big-four network to another specialty-cable affiliate of a big-four network -- Dave Briggs can now be found on "The Crossover" on NBC Sports Network.

The move happened late last year -- he announced his departure on the "Fox & Friends" broadcast on Dec. 22.

After the episode, he tweeted that: "I will miss our viewers almost as much as Clayton, Aly and Rick." (He was referring there to co-hosts Clayton Morris and Alisyn Camerota, and meteorologist Rick Reichmuth.) "I really appreciate every one of you and hope you stick with me in 2013."

However, he was cagey about where he would be in 2013, until a few days into the year when he announced he would be joining "The Crossover," NBC Sports Network's weekday prime-time sports news show.

"For as long as I can remember, I've felt NBC was the gold standard in television, and it's an honor to join the team together with the talented Michelle Beadle," he said, seeming to slight his old bosses while kissing up to his new ones.

Beadle, a former "Access Hollywood" personality, is his new co-host.

Though his "Fox & Friends" gig saw him focusing mostly on politics, Briggs was actually a sportscaster first, so he knows his way around a locker room.

Prior to joining "Fox & Friends," he was a reporter for Comcast SportsNet New England and Boston's WHDH TV.
