Not great, I'm afraid. It seems that the once-popular TLC game show "Junkyard Wars" has itself been sent to the junkyard.

The series ran from 2001 to 2005 and posted fairly good numbers early on, especially for the then-emerging TLC network. It picked up a pretty devoted fan base as well, tapping into the same passion for playing with dangerous stuff that "MythBusters" has done to greater success on TLC's sister network, Discovery.

But if you're really jonesing for more one-man's-trash-is-another-man's-makeshift-airplane fun, there's still the British series.

"Junkyard Wars" was actually an American version of the already-established Brit hit "Scrapheap Challenge," which premiered in 1998 and is still airing new episodes on Britain's Channel 4.

This season, the show's 11th, has teams building vehicles equipped with air guns on the front that they'll use to play a game of "blow football" (that'd be "blow soccer" over here).
