It was a quiet sort of departure for occasional "Entertainment Tonight" contributor Steven Cojocaru (better known as Cojo).

The outspoken fashion critic left the show in early 2012 without any official announcement, goodbye or anything of the sort.

However, when the show didn't include him in its 2012 awards season coverage (his best-and-worst-dressed reports from the awards shows had become his hallmark), it was clear that they were splitting up.

He took it well, posting a fairly generous message on his Facebook page on Feb. 14, 2012. "I'm not covering the awards shows this season because the folks at 'ET' decided to go in another direction. This is something I completely understand, especially considering I've done the best-and-worst-dressed for them for eight years. I don't know if it's a complete parting as we are on very friendly terms and have a relationship based on mutual affection and respect."

It did prove to be a complete parting of ways, though.

The quiet nature of his departure could have given some support to previous rumors that he was being fired from the show, were it not for the fact that the rumors had persisted for more than two years.

The "New York Post's" Page Six gossip column reported in February 2009 that an anonymous source claimed Cojocaru was "being weaned off 'ET'" because he was, as the "Post" phrased it, "a total diva."
However, 24 months is a long weaning-off period, so it's possible those rumors were unrelated to his eventual exit.

Regardless, he continues his career as a roving fashionista, having done subsequent appearances on "Rachael Ray," "Fashion News Live" and elsewhere.

He's also designing his own clothes and has done appearances on the shopping networks to promote them. And if you're really aching to hear him tear apart celebrities' outfits, he still indulges in a fair bit of that on his Facebook page.
