Matt Passmore has found a steady TV gig with A&E's hit crime show "The Glades," due to return this summer, but it isn't his first.

Prior to traversing the globe to take on the role of Jim Longworth, a big city detective who relocated to a sleepy town near the Florida Everglades in "The Glades," Passmore was a TV star in his native Australia.

He was best known for his three years on the hit prime-time soap "McLeod's Daughters" as Marcus Turner.

His other Australian TV credits include the lead role on his own series, the short-lived dramedy "Last Man Standing," and a gig as a kids-show host on the long-running favorite "Play School" (his photo on the show's website shows him adorably hugging a teddy bear).

Prior to that, he did stage work in Australia, after attending the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

Unfortunately, we can't offer a more precise return date than "this summer." The network officially renewed the show in September, but so far hasn't committed to anything more precise than "2013."

However, all three seasons premiered in early summer, so the likelihood of a similar return for Season 4 is pretty high -- especially since the summer is when most of the cable networks put on their big hitters.

In a relatively novel twist, news of the show's fourth-season renewal broke not with a boring, old news release, but with a handheld-camera video made by supporting star Jordan Wall, posted to the show's Facebook page.

Wall promised "more Jim and Callie, more dead bodies, and of course more shenanigans."

A boring, old news release followed, of course.
