It's fair to wonder. "Berlin Station," starring Leland Orser ("Ray Donovan"), Rhys Ifans ("Elementary"), Richard Armitage ("MI-5") and Michelle Forbes ("True Blood"), told a (more or less) complete story in its first season on Epix, and these days all sorts of networks are playing the "limited series" trick, where they produce a season of TV that comes to some sort of conclusion, and, if it's not a hit, just drop the show at the end and say that was the plan all along. If it is a hit, they renew it.

Fortunately, "Berlin Station" was a hit, and so it's been renewed for a second season, though Epix hasn't offered a return date any firmer than "2017."

That might be because the renewal came all the way back in November, when the first season was still airing -- such was the channel's confidence in the show and satisfaction in the early numbers.

We do have some interesting details about the new season, namely the actors who are joining the cast.

Most notable among them is film star Ashley Judd ("Divergent," 2014), who will play BB Yates, the new CIA station chief.

Keke Palmer, fresh off a co-starring turn in the now-canceled "Scream Queens," joins the cast as well as a character named April Lewis -- and that's all we know about her.

Scott William Winters, best known for his central role in the prestige-drama classic "Oz," or his recent recurring role in "The Americans," joins the cast in a recurring role as the tough chief of station in Oslo, Norway.

As for who won't be returning, I don't want to give anything away, but the events of the first season finale offer a few hints (things got ... bloody).
