It's not a silly question at all, but the answer might seem so.

It's actually not Jackie Chan voicing Jackie Chan in the show "Jackie Chan Adventures," which Chan produces. Chan also appears as himself in sequences at the end of each episode.

You'd think with all that involvement that he'd just go ahead and do his own voice, too, but Chan opted to give the role to young actor James Sie, and it proved to be Sie's big break.

Prior to landing the role in 2000, Sie had only done a few bit parts, mostly on forgotten TV shows and films. However, after a few years on "Jackie Chan Adventures" (which ran from 2000 to 2005 the WB Network), he started getting offers for other voice roles.

He's since done regular turns on cartoon hits such as "The Replacements," "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" and "Danny Phantom." For the grown-up crowd, he's done a range of voices on "King of the Hill."

These days, he's returned to the martial-arts-for-kids genre, doing voices -- most notably that of Monkey -- on the Nickelodeon series "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness."

Sie owes that role more than the others to his time on "Jackie Chan Adventures," since it was Chan who voiced the Monkey character in the big-screen "Kung Fu Panda" films that launched the TV series.

Chan fans need not worry that he's giving up acting for a life behind the camera, though. Indeed, he's having the best of both worlds with his next release, "Chinese Zodiac," which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in.

He plays a thief searching the world for a priceless set of 12 bronze heads of animals from the Chinese zodiac. It's currently in the post-production stage, slated for release on Dec. 12 (that's 12-12-12, by the way).
