You have a pretty keen sense of when shows are due back, as indeed both "Homeland" and "The Newsroom" will be returning, and soon.
Showtime announced recently that "Homeland's" fourth season will premiere with back-to-back new episodes Sunday, Oct. 5. HBO hasn't announced a firm date for "The Newsroom's" return, saying only that its third season's debut is "slated for fall."
It's not all good news, though. In announcing the fall return, HBO also announced that the upcoming season would be "The Newsroom's" last. Network programming president Michael Lombardo promised it would be "one to remember."
There's no such end in sight for "Homeland," though there are changes afoot. Damian Lewis, who won an Emmy for his role as Brody, will not be returning, while "House of Cards" star Corey Stoll has been added to the cast.
