No, and Johannes Vermeer called dibs on the name first, by about three centuries.
"Girl With a Pearl Earring" is a 2003 film based on the life of Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer and the creation of his famous painting of the same name. He's said to have painted it in 1665.
That puts it more than 300 years before Swedish author Stieg Larsson wrote his now-famous "Millennium" trilogy, the first of which is the foundation of the 2011 hit film "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."
However, Larsson had nothing to do with the title. The book, which wasn't even published before his death in 2004, is called "Man som hatar kvinnor" in Swedish, which translates as "Men Who Hate Women." The "Girl" title theme was only created later for the English publications.
The original book title is a little grittier, keeping with the very dark content of the story, which features liberal helpings of sexual assault and murder.
The film "Girl With a Pearl Earring" was also based on a book, though. Tracy Chevalier wrote the book (of the same name) -- a fictional account of a poor housemaid who inspired Vermeer's great painting -- in 1999.
