Q&A

Q: I love "FBI: Most Wanted," but I miss some of the actors. What happened to the grandparents that Tali lived with? I read already that Crosby was leaving. Will any of them be back?

I have nothing but a couple of different "maybes" for you, but they could be upgraded to "probablys" if you're feeling optimistic.

Nelson (played by Canadian favorite Lorne Cardinal of "Corner Gas") and Marilou Skye (Irene Bedard, "Pocahontas," 1995), parents-in-law to series star Jess LaCroix (Julian McMahon, "Charmed") and grandparents to his daughter, Tali (YaYa Gosselin, "We Can Be Heroes," 2020), were very literal "supporting roles" in "FBI: Most Wanted," providing support to Jess and Tali while they led their dramatic TV lives.

And unlike some others on the show (such as Crosby, whom we'll get to in a minute), they didn't make a violent exit; they just vanished when they weren't needed. Chances are that they'll be needed again, though, which bodes well for the likelihood of seeing Nelson and Marilou again. As for Crosby (Kellan Lutz, "Twilight," 2008), it's more complicated.

His exit was quite dramatic. Shot during the three-show crossover premiere of all three "FBI" shows ("FBI: Most Wanted," its parent series, "FBI," and new spinoff "FBI: International"), we learned that his recovery will be long, so he's leaving the team for now.

In real life, Lutz said on Instagram that he wanted to leave the show for personal reasons. He suffered a few life tragedies in 2020 -- the loss of his daughter and two grandparents -- and he chose to move his family back to California to be with their own "support system" (the show shoots in New York).

But there's a reason for hope here, too. He closed his message by saying: "I hope Crosby is able to pop in and out here and there in the future, but for now, Crosby over and out."

Given that and the nature of the character's exit, there's every reason to believe he'll pop back again at some point, maybe for another ratings-grabbing event.
