If you're referring to the song whose only lyrics are "You wanna be on top? Nananananana," then, yes, she sings those.

However, that rather simplistic opening theme is just one example of how supermodel-turned-TV producer Tyra Banks has used her series as a stepping stone into yet another new business: pop stardom.

The show's intro has a lot of work to do, so it can be forgiven for being light on the word count: It introduces all of the show's contestants -- usually around a dozen per "cycle," and in recent seasons has also offered glimpses of the show's numerous judges and consultants, including, of course, Banks herself.

The song was written by David Thomas and Les Pierce, the latter of whom has penned a number of TV themes (such as that of "Jimmy Kimmel Live").

Perhaps not feeling challenged enough by the "America's Next Top Model" intro, way back in Season 2 Banks recruited music producer Rodney Jerkins (known in club circles as Darkchild) to record a single with her, called "Shake Ya Body."

She brought in the Season 2 models to help with the video, the making of which was incorporated into the show.

Banks hinted that the single might have been the beginning of her transition out of the modeling business.

"The industry represents a revolving door: The new ones come and the old ones go," she said in a 2004 interview with "USA Today." "I'm still in there, but I'm ready to kick myself out soon."

However, her singing career didn't catch on as she hoped it would. She's quoted in the biography "Tyra Banks: Model and Talk Show Host" as saying: "Just because you have access to something doesn't mean it's right for you."
