The Last of Us, on HBO

Season 1 concludes tonight but don't worry, another season is in the works. The hit drama stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, who is tasked with escorting a teenage Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across a post-apocalyptic United States, for she may be humanity's last hope.

A Man Called Otto

Six months after the death of his wife, 63-year-old widower Otto Anderson (Hanks) no longer sees any purpose in his life. He's ready to end it all, but his plans are interrupted by the arrival of a young and lively family who moves in next door. He soon meets his match in the form of quick-witted Marisol (Treviño). She challenges him to see life differently and an unlikely friendship forms, proving that family can be found in the most unexpected places. The film is based on the 2012 New York Times bestseller by Fredrik Backman.

The Apology

Nearly 20 years after the disappearance of her then-16-year-old daughter, Sally (Leeholland), recovering alcoholic Darlene Hagen (Gunn) has not moved on with her life, or from her missing daughter. She lives her life quietly nestled in a remote home with only her nearby neighbour Gretchen Sullivan (Garofalo) for company. But when her ex-brother-in-law Jack (Roache) arrives on her doorstep, just days away from Christmas, events are set in motion that cannot be undone. With this unexpected visit, Darlene must finally come to grips with the horrors that have been plaguing her for the past two decades.

The Locksmith

Newly released from prison, expert locksmith Miller Graham (Phillippe) is determined to repair his relationship with his ex-fiancé, Beth Fisher (Bosworth), and his teenage daughter, Lindsay (Guilbot). However, Beth has since become a detective, working directly below Miller’s nemesis, Det. Zwick (Nordling), who is the reason Miller was jailed a decade ago for the botched robbery job. Miller must navigate his new life on the outside and do everything in his power to provide for his family and stay out of trouble.

Blue Bloods, on CBS, CTV

A new episode airs tonight. Now in its 13th season, the procedural centres on a multi-generational family of police officers. It stars Tom Selleck as patriarch Frank Regan, Donnie Wahlberg as eldest son Danny, and Bridget Moynahan as daughter Erin.

Animal Control, on Fox

While Frank (Joel McHale) questions his night with Dolores (Kelli Ogmundson), the team receives a 9-1-1 call for a bear in a hot tub in tonight's episode. Vella Lovell, Michael Rowland, Grace Palmer, Ravi Patel and Gerry Dee also star.

Kung Fu, on CW, CTV2

Tensions have been mounting as the third season concludes tonight. After uncovering Xiao's master plan, Nicky (Olivia Liang) and the team race against the clock to stop her before it's too late. The series also stars Eddie Liu and Shannon Dang.

This brand-new series follows the antics of the staff and patrons of an underfunded library. Filmed in Toronto, the series stars Lyndie Greenwood as Wendy Yarmouth, Branch Head at the Jameson branch, which plays host to a cast of oddball characters.

Women Talking

After learning the truth about a shocking and horrific act committed by male members of their colony, the women and children of an unnamed and remote Mennonite community come together. Unable to read or write, community members Ona (Mara), Salome (Foy), Scarface (McDormand), Agata (Ivey) and Mariche (Buckley) organize the women to discuss their unfortunate circumstances while the men are away. They determine that they have three options: do nothing, stay and fight, or leave the only home they have ever known. With time working against them, the women must decide their future, not only for themselves but also for their colony.

Christmas Bloody Christmas

Closing up the record store late on Christmas Eve, store owner Tori Tooms (Dandy) and her employee, Robbie Reynolds (Delich), head out for a drink with friends Jay (Ray) and Lahna (Madison) from a local toy shop. Unbeknownst to the group, a robot Santa from the toy shop has malfunctioned and its programming has reverted to a secret one tied to the U.S. Department of Defense. As the psychotic Santa animatronic wreaks terror and mayhem on the town, Tori and Robbie must escape the robot’s deadly wrath if they want to live to see Christmas morning.

Ghost Town

In 1877, struggling drifter Soloman (Conway) comes across an isolated town in rural Arizona. Eagerly accepting a job as the local barman, Soloman settles into his new quiet life. But when strange supernatural occurrences begin to overtake the town, as a newcomer, he is immediately suspected by the other townsfolk. In order to clear his name, Soloman must investigate the goings-on before he falls victim to the hangman’s noose.
