Grace (Zumbado) is negotiating with the owner of a pawn shop when she is overtaken by robbers Alex (Hirsch), Cody (Dorff) and Alex's brother, Shane (Zagarino). When Grace’s car breaks down at a remote farmhouse, the group is forced to take shelter despite the ominous warnings of young farmhand Danny (Sanders), who insists they should leave before his grandfather, the Doctor (Wells), returns, bringing with him bloodshed and misery.

He moves his wife, Jessica (Orsillo), and his family to Texas to coach the Parkwood Lions and realize his late brother's dream. Regardless of Luke’s initial success in Texas, his tenure is quickly soured when school superintendent Michael Jamison (Terry) takes issue with Luke’s faith-based method of coaching his son.
