After losing his life savings on a failed business venture, massage therapist David Packouz (Teller) bumps into his old high school friend Efraim Diveroli (Hill) at a funeral. While catching up, Efraim explains that he now owns a company that supplies arms to the U.S. military, and he offers David a job. When his girlfriend (de Armas) announces that she is pregnant, David takes his old friend up on the offer to secure a stable source of income, despite his objections to his country's role in Iraq. When an important shipment of pistols is held up in Jordan, David and Efraim travel through dangerous territory to free it up before the military blacklists their company for failing to fulfill a contract. The film is based on true events.
A young, one-eyed boy named Kubo (Parkinson) charms villagers with his magic, which he uses to bring origami to life. One day, he ignores his mother's (Theron) warning to never stay out after sunset, and, just as she had warned, her evil sisters appear and try to pluck out the boy's remaining eye. His mother manages to fight off her evil sisters (Mara), losing her own life in the process, and Kubo sets out on an epic quest to find his father's magical armor to protect him from his wicked aunts and grandfather (Fiennes).

Ridge is disappointed to learn that his sabotage against Quinn has backfired. Zende warns Sasha to steer clear of Nicole for now. Quinn is consumed with jealousy when she learns that another woman was in her home with Eric while she was away. Later, Eric sees the full extent of Quinn's jealous side when Katie tells him about his wife's phone call. Meanwhile, Rick helps Katie move forward with her life as an independent and very rich woman. Bill tells Brooke he still wants to marry her, and he suggests that they elope. RJ is reluctant to spend an uncomfortable day with Bill at Spencer Publications. Brooke asks Ridge some pointed questions as to why he's suddenly trying to win her over, given their tumultuous past. Quinn does her best to hide her anger from Eric when he tells her that Katie is buying the house next door. Ridge takes Brooke to a place where much of their history together is buried.

Friends and family rally around Hope as they await the decision. Chad and Andre have their say during Hope's sentencing. Justin lays out his case for leniency, explaining that Hope was suffering from mental distress. The judge delivers Hope's sentence. Eduardo unexpectedly asks Kate out. Later, Eduardo and Dario discuss their new business venture. Theresa goes out of her way to try to alienate Brady, who is horrified when he finds her. Theresa spends her final day in Salem. JJ asks Chad for advice about Gabi. Abigail reveals herself to a loved one. Philip thinks about telling Nicole the truth about Chloe's pregnancy. Lucas and Adrienne's wedding day arrives. Justin gets some advice from Sonny. Joey reveals to Steve some troubling news about Jade.
After Sonny makes a shocking confession, Jason gives him some legal advice, and they bond. Ava says goodbye to Morgan. Jason offers Carly an ear and some advice. Liz becomes wise to Franco's intentions. After being called upon to help Hayden, Liz receives an unfortunate surprise. Later, Franco goes against what Liz wants in order to protect her. Carly struggles with conflicting emotions when new information comes to light. Lucy assures Scott that he can't fool her. Alexis feels a glimmer of hope. Sam and Jason follow up on an important lead. Griffin loses control.
Travis is shocked when he sees his ex, Michelle, in Genoa City. She explains that she's in town to see Ashley, but was happy to learn he's also living there. Travis tells her he's with Victoria now, and has found a woman he truly loves. Ashley reminds Phyllis that she'll do whatever it takes to get her out Jack's life. Later, Ashley tells Jack they need to focus on their new app, Jabot Go, and that he should fire Phyllis. Jack soon meets with Phyllis and tells her she's being promoted and transferred to the New York Office. Noah confronts Sharon, demanding to know how she could keep the secret about Sully/Christian from Nick for so long. Disliking Hilary's management style, Mariah threatens to quit until Devon privately asks her to stay and keep an eye on Hilary. Jill tells Billy that Travis will eventually crack under the pressure of Victor and break Victoria's heart. Nikki and Victor argue about Dylan's role in Sharon's deception.
