After six seasons and several spinoffs, "Nailed It!" is defying the odds and still going strong without feeling the need to shake things up each season — not dramatically, anyway.

Q: I just watched the movie "Uncharted" with Tom Holland, and it felt like there was some kind of cameo toward the end: the guy who said, "Something like that happened to me once." Should I have recognized him? He didn't look familiar.

That was Nolan North. And while it's not so surprising that he didn't look familiar, to some he would have sounded very familiar indeed.

"Uncharted" (2022), the big-screen smash released earlier this year starring Tom Holland ("Spider-Man: Homecoming," 2017) and Mark Wahlberg ("The Fighter," 2010), was in fact based on the popular Uncharted series of video games.

Q: Was "Alien vs. Predator" based on the "Ancient Aliens" show?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

I'll say no, only to be nitpicky. They were both based on a third source — the work of Swiss author Erich von Daniken.

Von Daniken is the one who came up with the idea that formed the basis of the "Ancient Aliens" show — that various major events in planetary history were caused by alien visitors.

Late Night With Seth Meyers

President Biden on Thursday [Sept. 8] delivered a rare prime-time address from Philadelphia's Independence Hall and not, as I originally thought, the Upside Down. ... That [was] a wild lighting choice. I kept expecting him to be interrupted by Vecna.

Election Day is nine weeks away, and only time will tell if Republicans gain seats or if it was rigged.

Sparks Fly: A "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" reunion? Not quite.

More than two decades after the wildly popular frontier drama ended its run (1993-1998) on CBS, the series' star couple — or rather the actors who played the two characters — is reuniting for a new Lifetime holiday movie.

Q: What is Sandra Oh doing now that "Killing Eve" is over?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

A:Her award-winning run as the title character on the hit action-drama "Killing Eve" put Sandra Oh in a position to pick her roles, and she's made some bold choices.

Starring in a big-screen comedy? Yes. Doing a prestige fantasy drama based on an acclaimed book? Yep. Continuing to dabble in the superhero genre? That, too.

She's currently in production on "The Tiger's Apprentice," an animated drama based on the acclaimed children's book of the same name. It's due out in January 2024.

Q: I saw Richard Belzer, who played John Munch on "Law & Order: SVU," in an episode of "The X-Files," and I think they called him Munch there as well. Was that supposed to be the same character?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Brace yourself, because this goes deep: there was once a conspiracy among pretty much all of television to get Det. (and later Sgt.) John Munch, always played by Richard Belzer, in as many shows as possible.
