Buckle up, food fans -- Fox's massive culinary competition is back with new contestants, a new judge and a whole host of new challenges for home cooks with culinary dreams.
While camping with his family, Mack (Worthington) saves his two eldest children from drowning when their canoe tips over, but his youngest daughter, Missy (Eve), disappears while watching from shore. When they find her dress, bloody and torn, in an abandoned cabin nearby, the police conclude that a notorious serial killer has kidnapped and murdered her. Both Mack and his wife, Nan (Mitchell), are consumed with grief, and he finds himself losing his faith. When a strange letter shows up inviting him to visit the shack where his daughter was killed, he heads there hoping to find answers. What he finds instead are three kind strangers who help him renew his faith and trust in God.
With rumors swirling that Roosevelt High School is about to undergo some major downsizing, English teacher and dad-to-be Andy Campbell (Day) spends the last day of the school year overwhelmed with apprehension. After he witnesses history teacher Strickland (Ice Cube) discipline his class in an over-the-top and inappropriate way, Andy's testimony to the school's principal gets Strickland fired. In retaliation, Strickland challenges Andy to a fist fight at the end of the school day.
At a Valentine's Day party thrown by some friends, high schooler Samantha (Deutch) stands by as her friend, Lindsay (Sage), verbally rips apart another girl that they love to make fun of, Juliet (Kampouris). While Samantha and her friends are driving home later in the evening, their car hits something, causing it to crash and Samantha to lose consciousness. When she wakes up the next morning, though, she discovers that she's living the same day a second time, and that she's caught in a bizarre time loop that forces her to live Valentine's Day over and over again.

An inspirational little girl suffers from a brittle bone disease, and Dr. Chris takes care of some dental issues for her dog, Daisy. Also in this new episode, a 6-year-old aspiring vet teams up with Dr. Chris to diagnose her lethargic puppy, Jelly.

Nicole asks the doctor whether or not she will be able to have children. After Thomas is fired, Ridge offers Zende the position of designer. Rick and Maya's romantic trip to Paris is hampered by their need to find a new nanny for Lizzy. Rick and Maya's plans to head back to L.A. change when she receives an immense opportunity. Nicole shares her heartbreaking news with her mother, Vivienne. In spite of the bad news, Zende is confident that the doctor is wrong. Sally gives Thomas the chance to change his mind about their business and personal partnerships. Steffy arranges a meeting between Ridge and Thomas to reduce the tension between them. Saul asks Sally to forget Thomas and consider him as a partner instead.
Nicole and Eric set aside their differences to work together to try to escape. Deimos becomes angry when he learns he's been tricked, but he turns his attention to his main agenda. Steve pampers Kayla, unaware that Tripp is seeking revenge. Sonny, Paul, Chad, Gabi, JJ, Lani and Eli all find themselves stranded on an island. Hope returns to Salem with Deimos. Jack questions Nikki about Victor, but he deflects by talking about Dina. Abby tells Jack about her forced partnership with Scott and they wonder if he's investigating their project. Chelsea is still angry with Nick about his lack of support in her search for Chloe. She tells him if he's really on her side he will help her find Chloe. Victor asks Scott to plan a reception announcing the Nikki Newman research wing. Victor reprimands Scott when he says the task is below him. Abby and Zack discuss their new partnership and the engage in a bit of flirtation. Dina asks Victor to help her reconnect with Ashley. Tessa tells Noah that she has a complicated past and is considering leaving Genoa City. Noah advises her to stay in town and focus on those people who believe in her.
One dater has visions of a potential future as a power couple in this season finale, while another reveals that he has never been kissed. There's also a vegan chef, whose goal is to find someone who shares his love of kale.
As is usual with "Archer," the cultural references are wide-ranging and frequent, and it seems the show's writers could never commit themselves to just one. But it's interesting to watch them restrict themselves to era-appropriate jokes.
