Q: Was Ted Danson buried alive in the movie "Creepshow"? I seem to remember that, but it can't be right, can it?

It is right, and it can be right because "Creepshow" isn't your average schlocky horror movie.

The 1982 anthology film is more like a tribute to the gross-out horror stories that came before it. And so, as a lighthearted homage rather than a sincere attempt at low-budget horror, it managed to get some big names to participate.

The Resident, on Fox

When a mother's complaints fall on deaf ears after a delivery, Devon (Manish Dayal) demands that Bell (Bruce Greenwood) take action in this rebroadcast, airing Tuesday, Aug. 27, on Fox. Meanwhile, Conrad (Matt Czuchry) struggles to give Nic (Emily VanCamp) some bad news.

Here's how you know the 1984 classic "Footloose" is a dancing movie: Kevin Bacon actually had four dance doubles, while also managing to do most of the dancing himself.

In an interview with People magazine in 2011, when the remake of the film came out, Bacon opened up about his experience doing the movie that would make him a star.

After his transformation from Reginald Dwight into Elton John, the film details John's life as he grapples with fame, his own sexuality and the addictions that shaped him into the performer he is today.

The Secret Life of Pets 2

Excited at the prospect of going on a family road trip out of the city, Max (Oswalt) and Duke (Stonestreet) meet Rooster (Ford), the local sheepdog, who encourages Max to step outside his comfort zone and be brave. Back in the city, Gidget (Slate) must learn how to successfully rescue Max's beloved toy, Busy Bee, from a cat-infested apartment. Meanwhile, Chloe (Bell), Snowball (Hart) and Daisy (Haddish) decide to rescue a tiger cub named Hu from circus owner Sergei (Kroll) using the new-found skills their friends have acquired on their adventures. "The Secret Life of Pets 2" is the sequel to 2016's "The Secret Life of Pets."

Godzilla: King of the Monsters

In a universe where giant creatures known as Titans have been exposed to the world, an experimental "Mothra" creature escapes the lab while Dr. Emma Russell (Farmiga) and her daughter, Madison (Brown), are attacked and kidnapped by ecoterrorists. Emma's ex-husband and Madison's father, Dr. Mark Russell (Chandler), begrudgingly helps the Monarch Initiative find them. As he follows Godzilla to Antarctica, Mark realizes that not only was Emma not kidnapped, she is secretly working with the ecoterrorists to release more "Titans" and restore supposed balance to the planet. Emma, Mark and Madison must grapple with humanity's impact on the planet and the role of the monsters in this world. This is the sequel to 2014's "Godzilla," and the action takes place in the same universe as 2017's "Kong: Skull Island."
