"Blue Bloods" is a hugely popular and successful show -- now going into its 10th season on CBS -- but it's hard to deny you have a point.
Indeed, you're not saying anything critics haven't been saying all along. Way back in the show's very first season, Britain's the Guardian newspaper criticized the show for, essentially, being lazy, and jokingly offered an eight-step guide to writing a "Blue Bloods" script.

The Hustle
After con artists Josephine Chesterfield (Hathaway) and Penny Rust (Wilson) inadvertently attempt to swindle each other in the French Riviera, the two make the unlikely decision to compete for the right to stay in the lavish French town to scam wealthy men of their money for years to come. When Penny begins to fall for tech billionaire Thomas Westerburg (Sharp), Josephine takes her under her wing to teach her the ropes. The film is a gender-flipped remake of the 1988 comedy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," starring Michael Caine and Steve Martin, which itself was a remake of 1964’s "Bedtime Story," starring Marlon Brando and David Niven.

This sequel picks up where the 2017 film "A Dog’s Purpose" left off. Bailey (Gad), a handsome and elderly dog, realizes that his life's calling is to protect Ethan (Quaid) and Hannah's (Helgenberger) granddaughter, CJ (Prescott), on their Midwestern farm. Through the years, Bailey becomes Molly, Big Dog and Max, but he never abandons his mission to stick with CJ through her ups and downs. The film follows the many iterations of a loyal dog who finds new adventures, challenges and love.

As Brandon approaches his teenage years, Tori and Kyle worry that he is becoming more disrespectful and rebellious, and they find troubling articles and drawings in his room. After Brandon attacks and kills his classmate Caitlyn (Hunter), the young man finally understands the haunting message coming from the spaceship that brought him to Earth: "Take the World."

Bill holds Beth for the first time, and he and Liam share a touching father-son moment. When Zoe and Xander face Brooke and Ridge, they must suffer the consequences of their lies. Shauna and Flo take a big chance by sneaking into Brooke's cabin to try to tell their side of the story to Hope. Shauna goes toe to toe with Brooke, Katie and Donna, while Hope lashes out at Flo.
