To be honest, I'm not sure I can help you.

This is a tough one, partly because there were literally dozens of dramatic anthology series on around the time you specify, and partly because escaped prisoners and women held captive were well-used devices in such shows, which were heavily influenced by the pulp-novel thrillers that preceded them.

Despite this, no single episode I could find quite matched your description.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Only Lovers Left Alive

The story follows underground musician and vampire Adam (Hiddleston) as he falls into a deep depression, questioning life and its worth, after living for centuries and watching humans follow a destructive path. Fearing for her lover’s life, Eve (Swinton) fleas to Detroit to comfort Adam. When her sister’s arrival disrupts their relationship, the couple's devotion is tested as they are the only lovers left alive.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Liam is in tough when he has to choose between being the gentleman he is and being with Hope, and he later gets a surprise phone call that turns his world upside down. Hope is sure that she will finally be with her one true love until she comes face-to-face with a hard choice. Meanwhile, Deacon visits Brooke, who is worried about Hope after she finds out that her daughter hasn't been heard from since the photo shoot in Paris. Quinn's plan plays itself out, but later, she finds herself being interrogated for her involvement in getting the inherited diamond in Wyatt's hands. Meanwhile, Bill tries desperately to get Brooke to forgive him for the pain he caused her and even asks her to marry him. Deacon, however, steps in as well and tries to get Brooke to give him a chance to mend her heart. Ivy feels guilty about the part she played that led to an unexpected series of events. Oliver reminds Aly of their romantic medieval evening.

Days of Our Lives

Daniel has something major in store for Kristen, so she tries her best to escape from him and avoid having to answer for her crimes. Kristen shocks Salem when she returns, and she turns to Stefano for help. Theresa lets her jealousy get the best of her and tells Eve to stay away from Brady, and later, Brady gets some surprising news. Aiden tells Hope he has a date with Jennifer, and Hope goes on a jealous rampage and questions Jennifer about it. Clyde puts plans in motion to secure his future in Salem and makes a deal with Ben. Will's article causes problems for him as Sami reads it, and the two get into a heated argument. Sonny feels ashamed for keeping a secret from Will. Time is running out for the comatose John, and Marlena tries her best to get through to him. EJ informs Kate that Stefano is pursuing both her and Sami. Rafe tries his best to explain himself to Jordan.

General Hospital

Sonny and Olivia discuss if their relationship can be salvaged, and Lucas reveals his true feelings to Brad. Elizabeth and Nikolas share lunch together, but Britt interrupts them. Later, Nikolas invites Britt back to his place, and the two cuddle up by the fire. Nina and Franco find themselves stuck in a sticky situation, and she lets Franco in on a secret about Carly and Sonny. Levi's true colors are exposed after Nathan challenges him over his misgivings. Silas gives Sam some key information about Patrick's accident, so Sam suggests to Patrick that she help him find out who put Rafe up to the crash. Danger is brewing at the wedding as Maxie is still unsure if she'll go through with it or not.

The Young and the Restless

Nikki continues to struggle with not drinking, especially when she sees Devon waiting for Hilary at a bar outside of town. Neil brings Cane along to tour the house he bought for Hilary. With the trial pending, Summer and Austin try to put it all aside for just another moment longer since it could rip them from each other. Kelly begs Jack not to leave to visit Phyllis, and later, Victor finds an article about a doctor's success with coma patients and brings the information to Phyllis' doctor. Paul and Christine head to the cabin for a belated honeymoon, but their romantic evening is interrupted by Nikki. Chelsea isn't too pleased about Billy and Victoria potentially getting back together, but she still invites Billy to Connor's birthday party. Stitch bumps into Chelsea, who apologizes for what happened. Nick is on the hunt for information about Mariah's past, and Sharon asks Ian about Mariah's mother. Colin and Jill find a letter from Katherine after returning from their trip. Esther goes to the police station to talk to Kevin about Chloe.
