New Releases for the week of November 8 - 14

Terminator Genisys

The venerable Terminator franchise roars back to movie screens with this new sequel. In the not-so-distant future, intelligent machines have nearly wiped out humanity. The leader of the human resistance, John Connor (Jason Clarke), sends soldier Kyle Reese (Courtney) back in time to the year 1984 to protect his mother, Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), who is being targeted by the machines -- machines that want to kill her before she can give birth to her son. Upon arriving in the past, though, Kyle discovers that a T-800 robot has already arrived and is acting as Sarah’s Guardian (Schwarzenegger). With the past already altered in unpredictable ways, Kyle must team up with the Guardian to stop the machines and save humanity’s future.

Trainwreck

Amy (Schumer) has gone her whole life believing that monogamy is unrealistic, a lesson that her father taught her years ago. A writer for a men’s magazine by trade, she’s a hard-drinking party animal who never stays with one guy for long. So when her boss (Swinton) assigns her an article about prominent sports doctor Aaron (Hader), the last thing on her mind is falling in love. The more she spends time with him, though, the closer they grow and the more she begins to suspect that her dad’s “life lesson” may not have been entirely accurate.

Mr. Holmes

Sherlock Holmes (McKellen) is a retired 93-year-old man living a quiet life in the countryside with his housekeeper, Mrs. Munro (Linney), and her young son, Roger (Parker). With his memory slowly failing him, Holmes struggles to recall the details of the last case he investigated before he retired. As he delves into memories of his past, he gains a devoted companion in Roger, who grows increasingly close to the old man, and Holmes teaches the boy about his life’s other great love: beekeeping. Mrs. Munro, though, grows increasingly dissatisfied with the situation as Holmes’ condition deteriorates, and considers abandoning him and taking a job elsewhere.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Julius, Vivienne, Eric and Brooke engage in a frank and serious discussion about their children. Zende has a rough time processing everything and admits as much to Nicole. Julius and Vivienne make haste in order to prevent their daughter from doing something she could regret later on. At the same time, Brooke and Eric reach the conclusion that what's best for Rick and Maya may not be the best for Nicole. Eric suggests to Brooke that she move back into the Forrester mansion. Meanwhile, a Forrester Creations staff meeting boils with tension when they discuss the topic of a potential scandal. Bill is angry at the fact that Ridge has too much involvement in his family's life. A bachelor is set on making a move on a woman who is already taken. Ridge and Caroline see their baby during their first ultrasound appointment.

Days of Our Lives

The residents of Salem gather together at the Martin house to celebrate the town's Bicentennial Gala. Abigail is shocked when she discovers damning evidence against Ben. She soon finds herself in hot water, and Abigail tries desperately to escape from Ben as he continues to come undone. Trusting her vision, Caroline attempts to get Victor to believe her that Bo's life is in danger. Bo rushes to stop Hope and Aiden's wedding, while Caroline outdoes herself to delay the proceedings. On his wedding night with Hope, Aiden struggles with a difficult decision, but Hope winds up fighting for her life. Steve and Bo finally arrive in Salem, but worry it's too late to save Hope. Meanwhile, Adrienne is rocked when she spies Eve and Justin locked in a passionate kiss. Abe questions Lani about why she really came to Salem. Sami arrives in town with some stunning news. Kayla is upset when a loved one is rushed to the hospital.

General Hospital

Lulu unloads her anger on Dante after making a devastating discovery. Patrick and Sam enjoy some quality family time with one another. Jake has questions for Hayden about why she wants to go to his wedding. While Liz prepares for her big day, Laura has misgivings about Liz and Jake tying the knot. Just as Liz is about to walk down the aisle, Hayden approaches her. Carly finds herself in a dangerous situation as she seeks to confirm her conclusions and she tries to reach Jake. After losing her temper with Sonny, Ava gets some advice from Paul on how best to deal with him. Morgan does his best to be there for Kiki as a good friend.

The Young and the Restless

Lily tells Cane that he shouldn't be near Charlie and Maddie because he is too unpredictable. Devon seeks Paul's advice as to whether or not he should assume that Hilary is dead. Nikki and Phyllis host a Halloween Gala fundraiser for the Delia Project at the newly reopened Top of the Tower restaurant at Newman Enterprises. Kevin and Mariah are asked to chaperone the children's parade. Faith is frightened when she spots someone disguised as a devil walking around the building, while Lauren is miffed at Michael for working instead of showing up at the gala on time. Nick manages to convince Sage to attend the party and take a break from the hospital. After a run-in with Phyllis, Chelsea struggles with concerns about her future with Adam. When things heat up between Noah and Marisa, Luca is not pleased. Abby is grilled by Victor about her relationship with Stitch. Kevin gets a mysterious message on his computer.
