While Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham (Streep) struggles to run her business in the wake of the assertive men who work with her, she receives word that the competing New York Times is about to publish a major scoop about the country's role in Vietnam. After a court order stops the Times from publishing information from the leaked documents, the Post's journalists secure their own source, but when Graham discovers that her newspaper's source is the same as that of the Times, she faces a difficult decision: whether or not to publish her newspaper's findings and risk being charged with contempt of court. The Commuter
Former police officer Michael (Neeson) is fired after 10 years as an insurance salesman, and on the long commuter train ride home, he's approached by a mysterious woman who calls herself Joanna (Farmiga). She asks Michael to perform a small favor: locate another passenger on the train and plant a tracking device on him or her. Refusing to play her game, Michael tries to get off of the train early but is stopped and informed that his wife's life is in danger if he doesn't help locate the mysterious passenger. What should have been a quiet ride home becomes a fight for not only Michael's own life, but the lives of every passenger on the train.
