Yes, the notorious but also hugely successful sitcom had at least one spinoff. I say "at least" because it may have had two or even four, depending on your definition of spinoff.

New Releases for the week of June 24 - 30

Acrimony

After meeting Robert (Bent), the guy of her dreams, Melinda (Henson) marries him, despite the warnings from her sisters that he's only interested in the money that she inherited after her mother's death, and despite the fact that he cheated on her early on in their relationship. Robert is an engineer who is unable to find work, resulting in Melinda supporting them both, and an invention that he's spent years working on has drained their finances. After losing their house due to his failures, and learning that he's cheated on her again, Melinda files for a divorce, but after Robert's invention finally makes him rich, she snaps and tries to do whatever it takes to win her former husband back.

The Endless

Years after they escaped the UFO death cult that raised them, brothers Justin (Benson) and Aaron (Moorhead) return to meet with its members after receiving a cryptic message. They seek closure for their past, but instead, the brothers find themselves reconsidering their own beliefs and those of the cult when they encounter bizarre phenomena around the cult's remote camp. As it begins to appear that the cult's beliefs may have been rooted in reality all along, the brothers try to unravel the truth.

Jill (Kirke) is the personal assistant and close friend of big-time Hollywood star Heather Anderson (Kravitz), but when Anderson turns up dead in Jill's home, she's quickly named as the chief suspect by the detective investigating the case (Cho). As an actress with more than her share of rivals, enemies, fans and hangers-on, the list of murder suspects isn't a short one, and Jill sets out to perform her own investigation while the detective tries to track her down and bring her in.

The Bold and the Beautiful

After Sally vents about Bill, she bonds with Wyatt over their similar situations. Emma shows Hope her dance moves, but Maya is depressed about her last name. After Maya fires Emma, Hope puts Maya in her place and Justin soon arrives to intervene. Wyatt urges Sally not to give up on her dreams and to stay around longer. Liam and Steffy plan their next step in their journey as a family. Brooke tells Ridge how hard it is for her to be happy, given the drama between Hope, Liam and Steffy. Julius and Maya have questions about Xander's decision to deceive the Forresters and his budding relationship with Emma. Bill makes yet another move to keep Steffy away from Liam, as his love for her is unrelenting. Taylor surprises Steffy with a visit and she shares her worst fears to her daughter. Hope encourages Liam to return to work at Forrester Creations and Hope for the Future.

The Young and the Restless

On Father's Day, Nick is forced to confront the truth about his relationship with Victor. Nick and Sharon try to explain the situation to Faith, but her distress prompts them to interrupt the Newman's Father's Day brunch. Abby also decides to disrupt the event, bringing Arturo with her so that he and Victor can come to an understanding. Later, Nick disagrees with Brittany when she suggests that breaking up with Sharon is the only way to win in court. While at Newman, Victoria gets some anonymous threats from a hacker who wants to bring their company down. Things between Arturo and Abby get more serious when Abby decides it's time for him to meet Ashley. Nikki is upset when she witnesses the group having a nice time together. Kyle offers to help Jack search for his biological father and they begin by searching Dina's things for clues. Together again, Hilary and Devon celebrate Father's Day with the Ashby/Winters clan, where they announce their relationship. Hilary tries to hide the less glamorous parts of her pregnancy from Devon, but he stops her, insisting he wants to be there for everything, morning sickness and all.

Ransom, on CBS

Armed with a keen understanding of human nature, crisis and hostage negotiator Eric Beaumont (Luke Roberts) saves lives when no one else can in this new episode. Faced with some of the most dangerous criminals in the world, Beaumont refuses to resort to violence.

Q: I love the book "The Great Gatsby," and I thought Leonardo DiCaprio did a great job playing him. I know that was a remake of an earlier film -- who played Gatsby in the original?

Technically, Leo DiCaprio was reprising the role pioneered by silent-film great Warner Baxter, who died 23 years before DiCaprio was born, but that's probably not the version you're thinking of.

DiCaprio's "Great Gatsby" was actually the fourth film version of the classic novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The first, Baxter's, was released in 1926. It was remade in 1949 with legendary tough-guy actor Alan Ladd in the role.
