Q: Who played the northerner friend in the "North and South" miniseries? I only remember Patrick Swayze as the southerner.

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

Your problem is understandable, since Swayze's role in "North and South" led to even more fame, while his co-star was experiencing his career peak.

James Read starred opposite Swayze as George Hazard in all three "books" of the "North and South" miniseries, the first of which premiered in 1985. (They called them books because "North and South" was actually composed of three separate miniseries with multiple episodes each, and because they were based on three books by John Jakes.)

Touch, on Fox

Martin and his son Jake try to help Lucy find her daughter, who shares Jake's amazing abilities, in the two-hour season premiere. This season, the setting moves from New York to Los Angeles as Martin and the others discover they are targets of a mysterious corporation.
