Going 'Golden': CBS brings new spin to cop drama

Tired of all the same-old police dramas on TV?

Then get ready for a new twist to an old classic with the brand new series "Golden Boy," debuting this week on CBS. The network will air two special previews on Tuesday, Feb. 26 and March 5, before the series moves into its scheduled timeslot on Friday, March 8.

Dreamgirls, on ABC

An all-star cast brings the Tony-winning musical to the screen in the Oscar-winning film. Set in the 1960s, the movie follows the meteoric rise of three singers. However, the small-town girls soon learn that fame comes at a price.

The Bold and the Beautiful

Brooke arranges a surprise wedding for Hope and Liam in the hopes that it will finally push them together forever. Meanwhile, Hope is forced to turn Oliver down when he confesses his feelings for her, while Steffy hears her baby's heartbeat for the first time during an ultrasound. Later, Liam and Hope each arrive separately at the Spencer cliff house and are shocked by Brooke's surprise and even more so when Steffy reveals her pregnancy to stop the wedding. Rick bounces back after Caroline abandons him on their date when he meets an alluring young woman at Dayzee's. Eric tries to convince Rick and Thomas that they need to work together as the leaders of Forrester Creations.

Days of Our Lives

Kristen accepts Brady's proposal to move in together, but only after an intense clash with Marlena convinces her to stick with her plan. When Eric is injured by a junkie looking to rob the church, Nicole confesses that she loves him. All fingers are pointed at Sami for causing the stress that sends Gabi into premature labor. Later, Will and Sonny bond over the crisis, while Nick unleashes his rage on Sami. Meanwhile, Chloe maneuvers herself into staying at Daniel's by annoying Victor and getting kicked out of the Kiriakis mansion. Jennifer counters by insisting that Daniel cut all direct ties with Chloe or their relationship will not survive. Nick is haunted by painful memories while at the same time, an old prison mate of his starts counting down to his release date.

General Hospital

Frisco makes a heartfelt appeal to Maxie to give him a chance on Valentine's Day, while Spinelli shares a bittersweet moment with Ellie. Kate finally emerges out from under Connie, and though her feelings for Sonny are conflicted, he's simply over the moon that she's back. Lulu receives a troubling gift and later is met by a very unwelcome visitor. Meanwhile, Lucy has a vivid dream about Caleb and becomes increasingly concerned for Rafe's safety. Britt goes after Sabrina at full force, while AJ makes Tracy an intriguing offer. Alexis worries when she can't get a hold of Sam, while Duke becomes more hopeful about his chances with Anna. Luke gets a painful reminder from his past and makes a vow going forward.

The Young and the Restless

Leslie starts to worry that people will find out who she and Tyler really are after Victor asks why Congressman Wheeler called her Valerie. Wheeler confronts the siblings and urges them to come forward about Avery's dangerous client. Summer has a heartfelt conversation with Phyllis in which she admits she bullied Jamie to hurt Ronan. Meanwhile, Dylan decides to leave after Avery tells him she wants to be with Nick, but he gets into a car accident with Sharon on his way out of town. Lauren tells Carmine her family life is messed up and he asks her out to dinner. Adriana returns the gun and stolen bag of money to Alex, who tells her she's the reason he lost his job. Nikki confides in Jack about her illness and he questions her as to why Victor is still in the dark.

"Toy Story" director and writer John Lasseter said that he came up with Buzz Lightyear as the toy he would have wanted most when he was a kid.

"I grew up in the 1960s when all the amazing NASA space missions were going on ... and I thought they were the coolest guys in the world," he said in a DVD featurette included with "Toy Story 3." "The name Buzz Lightyear comes from Buzz Aldrin, which I think is an awesome name."

Kitchen Nightmares, on Fox

In the heart of Ohio’s farm country, Chef Ramsay tries to help a defiant restaurant owner see the light, but he resists Ramsay's advice. In the end, even a complete overhaul of the menu and decor may not be enough to save the business.

Britain's "Telegraph" daily newspaper interviewed author E.L. James a few months ago and asked that very question.

"No. I haven't read it, though I've seen the film. The thing about 'Fifty Shades' is it's a very passionate love story. 'The Story of O' is not a passionate love story."
