As Laurie is taken to the hospital for her injuries, her daughter Karen (Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Matichak) learn of Michael's survival but choose to withhold that information from Laurie so she can recover in peace. As the town becomes aware of Michael's murderous rampage, however, the residents of Haddonfield band together and form a mob to track down and kill the murderous Michael Myers once and for all. "Halloween Kills" is a sequel to 2018's "Halloween" and the 12th film in the Halloween franchise.

Director: David Gordon Green. Stars: Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Airon Armstrong, Will Patton, Thomas Mann, Jim Cummings, Dylan Arnold, Robert Longstreet, Anthony Michael Hall. 2021. 105 mins. Horror.

Nothing quite compares to the glitz, glamour and gore of American robber barons — rich industrialists who used wealth, political connections and violence to secure their empires. The Gilded Age was for the elite and rapidly growing, and if you weren't elite, chances are you were working for someone who was.

Q: I've just started watching "Ted Lasso," and the credits say something about it being based on something from NBC Sports. What's that about?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

The next time you reach for your remote to skip through the ads, consider the fact that "Ted Lasso," one of the most decorated and beloved sitcoms of recent years, started as a pair of commercials.

Q: I recently learned there was a TV show called "Matrix" that was out years before the movie. Do they have anything to do with each other?

Author:
Adam Thomlison / TV Media

They have one pretty big factor in common, but she seems to be there by chance.

Carrie-Anne Moss co-starred in the short-lived 1993 TV series "Matrix," six years before jumping onto Hollywood's A-list with her role as Trinity in the 1999 blockbuster sci-fi hit "The Matrix" and its sequels.
